Da Silva, in his first year with Bayern, has made 25 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this season, averaging 4.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in largely a bench role.

"Bayern's basketball team will have to continue without Oscar da Silva," Bayern revealed in a statement on Thursday. 

"The 26-year-old national player suffered a medial ligament injury in his right knee during the EuroLeague game in Paris a week ago and underwent successful surgery in Munich this Wednesday. As a result, the power forward will definitely be out for the coming weeks."

Yet, there were two players who thrived on the floor, inspiring Monaco to an important road triumph in the French League derby. [Daniel Theis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/daniel-theis/004132/) and [Jordan Loyd](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/jordan-loyd/009754/) netted 21 each, combining for almost half of the team's points.

The former needed just a couple of games to adapt to his new surroundings following his return to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. Monaco’s new signing hit the ground running and netted 8 first-quarter points in his second appearance for Spanoulis’s side.

The visitors took a 39-44 cushion into the third quarter, which they opened with a 12-0 surge inspired by Theis, who netted 7 of those points. [Nadir Hifi](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nadir-hifi/012640/) made 3 from the line to bring Paris within 42-56, but Loyd came to the fore with 10 straight points to open a 47-66 lead. Monaco stepped up its defense, which held the hosts to just 14 points in the third quarter.

"That was big for us,” [Alpha Diallo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/alpha-diallo/011226/) told EuroLeague TV. “Coming out from halftime. We knew that we wanted to continue being aggressive and that’s what we did with that 12-0 run.”

Theis equaled his career-high point tally, with Loyd recording a season-high in points scored. The German center also registered a game-high 7 rebounds, as well as 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block, contributing on both ends of the court.

“Everybody knows Daniel,” Spanoulis told EuroLeague TV. “I know Daniel. That’s why we brought him here. Today he was really important for us, like all the guys.”

As for Loyd, he was almost perfect from the floor, making 4 of 5 from inside the arc and going 4-for-4 from deep.

“I try not to look at \[the stats\] too much. Maybe it’s the new haircut, I don’t know,” Loyd joked after the final whistle.

Monaco got back to winning ways after losing their previous two games and improved its record to 17-11 heading into the last six duels of the 2024-25 regular season. AS Monaco came out victorious from the all-French League encounter by thrashing Paris Basketball 79-91 on Wednesday night at Adidas Arena. The visitors led for most of the game, outscoring the hosts 14-27 in the third quarter to establish a double-digit cushion that they maintained until the final whistle. Monaco improved its record to 17-11 and claimed the head-to-head advantage in the race for a top-four spot. Paris dropped to 16-12 after recording its second straight home loss this week.

Jordan Loyd and Daniel Theis bagged 21 points each to lead all scorers, with the former recording a season-high and the latter equaling his career high. Alpha Diallo netted 15 points and Elie Okobo added 12 for the visitors. TJ Shorts paced Paris with 19 points, Nadir Hifi scored 17 and Maodo Lo had 10.

Birthday boy Kevarrius Hayes opened the scoring with a jumper, but Diallo and Theis netted 4 and 3 points, respectively, for a 2-8 lead. Hifi and Lo responded from inside before a triple by Daulton Hommes put Paris ahead, 11-10. Theis and Mike James scored from beyond the arc to make it 15-18. Shorts nailed a trademark midrange jump shot before completing a three-point play that brought Paris within 22-24 after 10 minutes.

Bandja Sy and Loyd traded triples before Tyson Ward hit one of his own to put Paris in front, 28-27. A Diallo three-point play was followed by a dunk from Theis to tie it up at 32-32. What followed was a back-and-forth passage of play, with Okobo and Loyd giving Monaco a 36-40 lead from deep. Then, Theis and James found inside scores to make it 39-44 at halftime.

The two teams were scoreless for the first 2 minutes of the third quarter, but James ended the drought with a jumper. Theis took over with 7 straight points before a triple by Loyd from the top of the key opened a 39-56 lead. It took Paris 5 minutes to score its first points of the quarter with Hifi hitting 3 from the line, but a red-hot Loyd responded with 10 consecutive points for a 47-66 cushion. Shorts scored a couple of baskets and set up Ward for another, but Monaco maintained a 53-71 advantage heading into the closing quarter.

Jaron Blossomgame opened the fourth with back-to-back baskets, but Shorts slightly cut the difference to 58-75 with a three-point play. Hifi nailed two straight layups before a tip-in by Yakuba Ouattara slashed the deficit to 68-81. But Okobo and Loyd drilled a triple each to restore a 68-87 lead, practically putting the game to bed.

Euroleague Basketball has officially announced the implementation of the Competitive Balance Standards (CBS), a comprehensive set of regulations designed to enhance the current Financial Stability & Fair Play Regulations (FSFPR). The new measures, set to take effect in the 2025-26 season, aim to strengthen financial sustainability, promote competitive balance, prevent inappropriate practices, and increase transparency among participating clubs, while aligning all stakeholders’ objectives.

[Presented in September](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/es/news/euroleague-introduces-ground-breaking-financial-fair-play-regulations/), the CBS ensures equal remuneration levels across all clubs based on collective revenues. This framework establishes a structured compensation system to maintain financial equilibrium, while harmonizing the impact of the different taxation models coexisting in the League by valuing the indicators on net amounts. The 2025-26 season marks the initial phase of a progressive implementation process, culminating in full implementation by the 2027-28 season.

### Key Financial Regulations\*

The CBS will introduce the Average Licensed Clubs Defined Revenues (ALCDR)—comprising game-day earnings, commercial revenues, and other income generated by EuroLeague licensed clubs over a three-season period—as the reference point for determining club’s upper thresholds and the mandatory minimum spending level on players’ remunerations.

The Low, Base and High remunerations Levels, calculated as a percentage of the ALCDR will include the following adaptations for the 2025-26 season:

- **2025-26 Average Licensed Clubs Defined Revenues (ALCDR)**: calculated ahead of every season over a three-season period - **€19,489,944.**
- **2025-26 Low Remuneration Level (LRL)** - The minimum net expenditure required for clubs’ remunerations to players, varying by club license type:
  - Licensed Clubs: 30% of ALCDR - **€5,846,983**
  - Associated clubs via wildcard: 24% of ALCDR - **€4,677,587**
  - Associated Clubs via EuroCup: 21% of ALCDR - **€4,092,888**
- **2025-26 Base Remuneration Level (BRL)** - The net amount any participating club may spend on registered players’ remuneration, excluding Anchor Players, U23 Players, Extended-Tenure Players, Long-Term Unavailability and Medium-Range Exceptions.
  - 40% of ALCDR - €7.795.978. As the Base remuneration level is lower than the minimum set, the BRL for the 2025-26 will be **€8.000.000.**
- **High Remuneration Level (HRL)** - To be in force starting on the 2027-28 season. The HRL determines the net amount that any given club may spend on registered players’ remuneration, including Anchor Players, and excluding U23 Players, Extended-Tenure Players, Long-Term Unavailability and Medium-Range Exception.

To ensure financial fairness, the **Competitive Balance Compensation (CBC)** will also be introduced in 2025-26. This system serves as a financial mechanism designed to redistribute funds collected from clubs exceeding the BRL and HRL. These funds will be allocated equally to compliant clubs at the end of the season. During the transition period, the CBC will apply solely to clubs surpassing the BRL, as the HRL remains unrestricted to facilitate a smoother adaptation to the new regulations.

Euroleague Basketball remains committed to fostering a financially sustainable and competitively balanced environment, ensuring long-term growth and transparency for all stakeholders. The CBS framework marks a pivotal step in achieving these objectives, laying the foundation for a more stable and equitable future in European basketball.

**\*** Updates introduced on June 19, 2025, after the Assembly of Syndicated Shareholders of Euroleague Commercial Assets (ECA) approval:

- Base Remuneration Level (BRL): Minimum set at €10 million net, up from €8 million net, applicable unless 40% of the Average Licensed Clubs Defined Revenues (ALCDR) falls above this threshold.
- Anchor Player Exception: Clubs will now be permitted up to three designated anchor players under the BRL framework, increased from two.
- Transitional Financial Compensation Cap: For the 2025–26 and 2026–27 seasons only, clubs exceeding the BRL will face a financial maximum compensation cap of 10% of their total net player remuneration for the relevant season.
- Extended Tenure Player Exception: Deduction rate increased from 25% to 50%.

The second set of honorees on the All-25 EuroLeague Team includes five EuroLeague MVPs! Dimitris Diamantidis, Mike James, Vasilije Micic, Anthony Parker and Sergio Rodriguez were selected to be enshrined among the 25 biggest stars of the competition's first quarter-century. They join Nando De Colo, Sergio Llull, Ramunas Siskauskas, Vassilis Spanoulis and Nikola Vujcic, who were named last week in the first beat of players to be released.

The selection process combined the votes of EuroLeague head coaches who had won a championship, past All-Decade Team members and MVPs, media representatives and fans. The coaches and playing greats each made up 40% of the final vote, and the media and fans were each 10%.

### Dimitris Diamantidis

The ultimate leader on and off the floor, [Dimitris Diamantidis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/dimitris-diamantidis/jko/) was the cornerstone of Panathinaikos Athens's dynasty. A three-time EuroLeague champion with the Greens and the 2010-11 EuroLeague MVP, Diamantidis was an elite defender who could also be counted on to have the ball in his hands on offense at crunch time. He was the only player voted to both the 2000-10 and 2010-20 EuroLeague All-Decade teams

Diamantidis led Panathinaikos to EuroLeague titles in 2007, 2009 and 2011 and was the Final Four MVP in the first and the last of the three. He is still considered the EuroLeague gold standard for defense, having won the EuroLeague Best Defender Award a record six times, including five straight between 2005 and 2009. In 2011 he became the only player to win the EuroLeague championship, EuroLeague MVP and Best Defender trophies in the same season. Diamantidis led Panathinaikos to five Final Fours in his first eight EuroLeague seasons. His four All-EuroLeague First Team selections are the second-most in competition history.

### Mike James

The EuroLeague’s all-time leader in points scored and the only player to have poured in more than 5,000 career points, [Mike James](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/mike-james/005985/) has certainly made a lasting impression across his 11 seasons in the competition. From showing promise at Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Panathinaikos Athens to securing the Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy and his first All-EuroLeague selection at EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, James went to new heights after joining AS Monaco from CSKA Moscow in the summer of 2022.

James has earned three straight All-EuroLeague selections as a Monaco player and took home the EuroLeague MVP award in 2023-24. The 34-year-old has been the EuroLeague MVP of the Month five times, the second most of any player in history. He also ranks in the top 10 all-time in minutes played, two-pointers made, three-pointers made, free throws made, assists, steals and PIR. Already a bona fide EuroLeague legend, don’t be surprised to see James further add to his legacy in the coming years.

### Vasilije Micic

A floor general and a scorer who gradually grew into the ultimate winner with Anadolu Efes Istanbul, [Vasilije Micic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/vasilije-micic/profile/002580/) won just about everything on the EuroLeague hardwoods. Micic led Efes to back-to-back EuroLeague titles as the Final Four MVP in 2021 and 2022. He was the 2020-21 EuroLeague MVP and the EuroLeague Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Award winner, averaging 18.2 points in the 2021-22.

Micic’s role grew through his years with FC Bayern Munich, Crvena Zvezda Belgrade and Zalgiris Kaunas, which he helped to a Final Four appearance in 2018. But it was with Efes where Micic broke through as a star, leading the club to three consecutive championship game appearances. He is a three-time All-EuroLeague selection and 10-time winner of MVP of the Round honors. Micic is one of just 10 players with at least 3,000 points and 1,000 assists in EuroLeague history – and the one with the fewest minutes and games played in that select group.

### Anthony Parker

[Anthony Parker](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/anthony-parker/profile/aow/) cemented himself as one of the premier two-way players in EuroLeague history during his time with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He was the go-to guy on the Maccabi dynasty that won back-to-back EuroLeague championships in 2004 and 2005 and reached the championship game the following season. Parker is the only two-time EuroLeague MVP; he captured the honors the first two times the award was presented (2005, 2006). He was also the 2004 Final Four MVP.

Parker was a dynamic scorer, elite defender, and outstanding leader. His athleticism and efficiency set a new standard for perimeter players in Europe. In fact, Parker's career PIR average of 21.4 over 90 games is the highest in EuroLeague history and his scoring average of 16.3 points per game is likewise the most of any player who appeared in more than three seasons. But perhaps more than anything else, Parker was a winner. He led Maccabi to the Final Four in each of his four EuroLeague seasons and he influenced future generations of players with his professionalism and skill set.

### Sergio Rodriguez

One of the most creative point guards and ballhandlers ever seen in European basketball, [Sergio Rodriguez](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/sergio-rodriguez/profile/cvm/) was a fan favorite everywhere he played. Nicknamed "El Chacho", he combined elite playmaking, exceptional court vision, and clutch shot-making to become a dominant force in European basketball. Rodriguez suited up for four clubs in his 14 EuroLeague seasons and is best known for his accomplishments with Real Madrid, where he played eight of those seasons. He helped Real reach a golden age with four Final Fours, three championship games appearances and the 2015 EuroLeague crown and 2014 MVP trophy in his first six seasons with the club. Moreover, Chacho did it as a "supersub", coming off the bench to change games for *Los Blancos*.

Rodriguez won his second EuroLeague championship with CSKA Moscow in 2018 and in 2021 helped EA7 Emporio Armani Milan reach the Final Four for the first team in 29 years. Two years later, he led Real to another EuroLeague triumph in epic, come-from-behind fashion. Rodriguez retired with nine Final Four appearances and three EuroLeague championships.
