The standings are incredibly tight with nine teams having eight or nine wins thus far, while first-year head coach Tomas Masiulis has guided Zalgiris Kaunas to the league’s top point differential, first-time participant Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv is sitting atop of the standings, and Jordan Nwora is leading all players in PIR after finishing 118th last season.

The first third of the EuroLeague season is in the books. The standings are incredibly tight with nine teams having eight or nine wins thus far, while first-year head coach Tomas Masiulis has guided [Zalgiris Kaunas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/zalgiris-kaunas/zal/) to the league’s top point differential, first-time participant [Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/hapoel-ibi-tel-aviv/hta/) is sitting atop of the standings, and [Jordan Nwora](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/jordan-nwora/013363/) is leading all players in PIR after finishing 118th last season. 

There are no shortage of rapidly developing storylines across the league, and that has ushered in some major changes to the individual efficiency leaderboards. 

The table above lists this season’s most efficient scorers in points per possession among the 39 players using over 12 possessions per game. While [Sasha Vezenkov](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/sasha-vezenkov/003469/) has been a mainstay on these lists since he ascended as a star for Olympiacos during the 2020-21 season, he is the last long-term staple still standing as this season has marked a changing of the guard among the league’s more productive and efficient scorers.

[Filip Petrusev](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/filip-petrusev/011194/) may be establishing himself as a staple in his own right this season for Dubai Basketball. After finishing fourth in the EuroLeague by averaging 1.15 points per possession a year ago, he has set a tremendous pace this one scoring at a strong rate in the post, providing a reliable target rolling to the rim, and looking more opportunistic attacking from the perimeter as well. He has formed an imposing duo with [Mfiondu Kabengele](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mfiondu-kabengele/012796/), whose impact on the glass and physicality inside have made him brutally effective at the rim in his first season competing in the EuroLeague. While some of their productivity can be traced to the absence of Dzanan Musa, Dubai has been able to rely on its frontcourt for efficient production to keep it afloat through a challenging stretch of its first EuroLeague campaign.

They are joined in the top six by two of the most improved players in recent EuroLeague history in [Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/timothe-luwawu-cabarrot/012080/) of Kosner Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Jordan Nwora of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade. Luwawu Cabarrot averaged in double figures last season but has so far managed to nearly double his scoring average and elevate his efficiency this one, finding a consistency from beyond the arc that had eluded until now. He has been tremendously reliable with his feet set thus far, not just as a floor spacer, but running off screens as well. Nwora’s quick bounce back from injury was key in Zvezda’s Round 13 win over Olympiacos and representative of his year on the whole—he’s scored in bunches getting downhill to the rim and been extremely difficult to stop when he finds his range from the perimeter on top of that. He’s relished the opportunity to play a feature role this season after functioning as a role player last one.

Veteran [Shavon Shields](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/shavon-shields/007831/) may not be quite the staple Sasha Vezenkov has been on these lists, but he’s no stranger either as his continued growth as a shooter in his late 20s has taken his game to another level. His consistency on and off the ball has been a steadying factor for an EA7 Emporio Armani Milan team that seems to have hit its stride recently, winning five of its last six games and climbing into the top five in overall offensive efficiency. 

[Elijah Bryant](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/elijah-bryant/009846/)’s ability to exploit the spacing of Hapoel’s ball screen-heavy offensive and dead-eye shooting at the line, [Sterling Brown](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/sterling-brown/012720/)’s assertiveness with the ball in his hands for Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, and [Chima Moneke](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/chima-moneke/012201/)’s knack for creating opportunities for himself in transition and as a cutter have helped them nab spots on in the top 10.

[Nando De Colo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nando-de-colo/002100/) is perhaps the most interesting name on this list, on pace for one of the best offensive seasons of his illustrious career. The 38-year-old has had plenty of efficient stretches, averaging 1.11 points per possession during his Most Valuable Player campaign during the 2015-16 season, but he’s nearly matched that consistency this year, remaining a dangerous scorer on and off the ball while shooting an absurd 46 for 46 from the line.

With very little decided this season, it will be interesting to see how this list evolves as the season barrels towards its mid-point.

After all, Zeljko Obradovic did not change his mind. The nine-time EuroLeague champion is, indeed, leaving the bench of Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade after the announcement on the club website on Saturday afternoon.

Zeljko Obradovic and Partizan officially part ways

After all, Zeljko Obradovic did not change his mind.

The nine-time EuroLeague champion is, indeed, leaving the bench of [Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/partizan-mozzart-bet-belgrade/par/) after an [announcement made on the club’s website](https://partizan.basketball/vesti/aktuelno/4060) on Saturday afternoon.

"The coach of the black-and-whites has stuck to his decision not to withdraw his resignation due to the fact that he does not see himself working with the current team, as well as the impact that daily work at this level has on his health," Partizan said in a club statement that ended a four-day emotional saga.

Obradovic first tendered his resignation on Wednesday, following a heavy 22-point defeat to Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens that left Partizan 18th in the EuroLeague standings with a 4–9 record. In his [letter to Partizan fans](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/news/zeljko-obradovic-resigns-as-partizan-head-coach/), he described the move as an "irrevocable resignation."

Initially the club confirmed the coach's resignation, but the morning after the club board refused to accept his decision, hoping the nine-time EuroLeague champion could be persuaded to reconsider.

The Partizan fans were not losing hope either, and thousands gathered to give their beloved head coach a [spontaneous hero's welcome](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/zelko-obradovic-receives-heros-welcome-as-partizans-fans-and-board-rally-behind-him/) at Belgrade airport on Thursday afternoon.

The signs that Obradovic might return to the bench seemed to be there. However, despite a long meeting with the club board on Friday, the 65-year old Obradovic ended up not changing his mind.

"The significance, in basketball sense and symbolically, that Zeljko Obradovic has for Partizan and for global basketball is unmeasurable. The void he is leaving will be hard to fill. The door will always be open for Zeljko Obradovic to return to Partizan, and Partizan will always be his home," said the press release which officially brings an end to Obradovic's second spell at Partizan.

He started his coaching career there in 1991, making an abrupt jump to coaching after spending seven years as a player, and guiding Partizan to its only EuroLeague title in 1992.

Obradovic made a legendary return to the club in 2021, and was at the helm as Partizan marked its return to the EuroLeague in 2022. That season, with Mathias Lessort, Kevin Punter and Dante Exum on the floor, the team reached the EuroLeague Playoffs and went to Game 5 against the eventual champion Real Madrid.

However, Partizan narrowly missed out on the postseason in both of the last two seasons, ending each with an identical 16-18 mark. Losses in seven of the last eight games of the current 2025-26 campaign have dropped Partizan near the bottom of the standings.

The team will have a chance to stop its losing skid on Thursday night when it welcomes FC Bayern Munich, however, with a new man in as head coach.

The rankings are not a prediction of what the final standings will look like, but rather where all 20 teams stand – in their humble opinions – today, after Round 13.

In the spirit of Black Friday, we have recommended a purchase that each team should make at the theoretical “basketball store” to help them this season.

### 1. Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens (9-4)

**Black Friday purchase:** A comprehensive insurance policy

The Greens jumped the gun and made their purchase a few weeks ago by signing [Kenneth Faried](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kenneth-faried/011284/), whose effort has played a large part in Panathinaikos now sitting atop these rankings. Panathinaikos has looked fantastic over the last few weeks as it has reeled off four straight wins. However, it has relied on a 35-year-old point guard ([Kostas Sloukas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kostas-sloukas/001926/)) and 36-year-old center (Faried). Getting continued strong play from those vets and healthy returns from injury from [Omer Yurtseven](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/omer-yurtseven/005353/), [Richaun Holmes](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/richaun-holmes/014011/) and [Mathias Lessort](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mathias-lessort/003842/) would be the greatest holiday gift Panathinaikos fans could hope for.

### 2. Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv (9-4)

**Black Friday purchase:** Home games in Tel Aviv

Hapoel has taken the league by storm in its first season in Europe's premier competition, and its spot tied atop the standings comes in large part thanks to its league-best 5-2 record on the road. Hapoel is 4-2 in “home games” in Bulgaria, including last week's 74-75 loss to Real Madrid. One can only wonder the impact of playing that game in front of a sold-out crowd in Tel Aviv would have had on the outcome – and future games against the best teams in Europe.

### 3. Olympiacos Piraeus (8-5)

**Black Friday purchase:** A “groove” for some shooters

What do you get for a team that has everything it needs? The Reds' one-two punch at center is as good as any in the league. [Sasha Vezenkov](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/sasha-vezenkov/003469/) is playing at his usual MVP level. [Tyler Dorsey](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tyler-dorsey/009849/) is enjoying the best season of his career. [Thomas Walkup](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/thomas-walkup/008855/) is a stalwart in the backcourt. That said, All-EuroLeague swingman [Evan Fournier](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/evan-fournier/013380/)'s production has fallen from last season's and [Saben Lee](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/saben-lee/013389/) has not taken a step forward. Only [Alec Peters](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/alec-peters/008829/) is shooting above 40% from downtown. If Olympiacos's shooters can catch a groove, this is a much more dangerous team.

### 4. Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade (9-4)

**Black Friday purchase:** A power-up to use on the road

What this team has done is remarkable, considering the lengthy injury absences to several key players. With [Jordan Nwora](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/jordan-nwora/013363/) back and [Devonte' Graham](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/devonte-graham/014028/) having made his debut, things are looking even better. Zvezda showed in Wednesday’s come-from-behind win over Olympiacos how much power it can draw from its passionate home base; the team’s 7-1 home-record is second-best in the league. But to remain a contender, it must be better than its 1-3 record outside of Belgrade.

### 5. AS Monaco (8-5)

**Black Friday purchase:** A portable hot streak machine

Monaco just smashed its own club record in back-to-back weeks, but the team’s biggest rival remains inconsistency. At home they look like they’re surfing a perpetual wave; on the road they don’t always reach championship heights. On the nights when [Mike James](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mike-james/005985/), [Elie Okobo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/elie-okobo/011212/) and [Daniel Theis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/daniel-theis/004132/) sync up with the ever-steady [Alpha Diallo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/alpha-diallo/011226/) and [Jaron Blossomgame](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/jaron-blossomgame/011231/), Monaco’s swagger becomes scary. A little “hot streak on demand” button would make them downright unfair.

### 6. Zalgiris Kaunas (8-5)

**Black Friday purchase:** An experienced floor-stretcher

Zalgiris is exceeding expectations due to a very balanced roster, so not much would need to be added. A reliable shooting guard who can pull the trigger consistently from beyond the arc, however, would give [Sylvain Francisco](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/sylvain-francisco/007975/) and [Nigel Williams-Goss](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nigel-williams-goss/007982/) even more space to play one-on-one and attack the rim. Zalgiris already has six players shooting over 40.0% from beyond the arc, but a little extra firepower would make it even better.

### 7. Valencia Basket

**Black Friday purchase:** More inside muscle

Valencia has a very deep team with a little bit of everything, but lacks physicality in the paint. So far, [Nate Reuvers](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/reuvers-nathan/012738/) has done an excellent job and [Matt Costello](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/matthew-costello/010444/) is a mobile big man who plays strong. Those two and [Jaime Pradilla](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/jaime-pradilla/010393/) would appreciate some extra help inside, someone who can play above the rim and have a physical presence in the paint, blocking shots and crashing the boards.

### 8. Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (8-5)

**Black Friday purchase:** Some lucky rolls

The amount of firepower on this Fenerbahce roster is not consistent with the numbers it has produced. The team is 18th in the league in scoring (79.6 ppg.) – and before you point out that it also plays at a slower pace, it is also 18th in two-point shooting (50.9%). Coming up next, Fenerbahce faces one of the league’s staunchest defenses, Olympiacos, on the road. However, the fix could be as simple as some lucky rolls because there is no question that [Wade Baldwin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/wade-baldwin-iv/009863/), [Devon Hall](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/devon-hall/011205/) and [Tarik Biberovic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tarik-biberovic/006961/) from last season’s championship squad and newcomer [Talen Horton-Tucker](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/talen-horton-tucker/014124/) are legit scorers who could help raise those numbers.

### 9. Real Madrid (7-6)

**Black Friday purchase:** An elite sharpshooter

Real Madrid needs a shooting specialist to balance its roster. It has had players like Jaycee Carroll and Dzanan Musa in the past, and that is the type of profile that would make *Los Blancos* even more dangerous. Giving [Facu Campazzo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/facundo-campazzo/005928/) another pair of safe hands to pass the ball to should make Real Madrid more unpredictable on offense, and give one-on-one players like [Mario Hezonja](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mario-hezonja/003108/) and [Gabriel Deck](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/gabriel-deck/009005/) more space to play one on one.

### 10. FC Barcelona (8-5)

**Black Friday purchase:** More power in the paint

Barça needs more athleticism in the paint and that should be its first priority if coach Xavi Pascual wants to make the team more competitive. A good rebounder with good hands who can finish above the rim would be the ideal profile for the job. Barça has two top-class offensive talents at center, [Jan Vesely](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/jan-vesely/000925/) and [Willy Hernangomez](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/willy-hernangomez/003196/), and would be even better with a strong, powerful big man down low.

### 11. EA7 Emporio Armani Milan (7-6)

**Black Friday purchase:** A fully stocked health bar

The Peppe Poeta era has begun. He aced his two cameo wins, then debuted as head coach with a Round 13 encore. Now all Milan wants for Black Friday is… bodies that stay intact. Injuries have haunted them for years, so Poeta is surely guarding his roster like rare collectibles. [Armoni Brooks](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/armoni-brooks/013384/) is thriving under him, [Shavon Shields](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/shavon-shields/007831/) just dropped a statement performance, and with good health, Milan’s ceiling skyrockets.

### 12. Dubai Basketball (6-7)

**Black Friday purchase:** A few extra nights of sleep at home

Travel takes its toll, and no one travels more than Dubai. So, it is not that surprising that the EuroLeague newcomers have a 5-1 home record but are 1-6 on the road. Away from home, Dubai is dead last in three-point shooting, shooting a league-low 28.6% and making 6.9 triples per game, which is 1.0 three per game fewer than the next best team and at least 3.1 three-pointers made fewer than the best seven road teams in this category. The rims are the same in all the arenas, so sleep and rest must have something to do with it; buying a few extra hours of sleep would be a no-brainer of a Black Friday investment.

### 13. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (5-8)

**Black Friday purchase:** A top-of-the-line head coach

Efes has had some bad luck with injuries while struggling to incorporate some of its summer signings. While there is little whoever takes over from the dismissed Igor Kokoskov can do to get [Shane Larkin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/shane-larkin/007200/), [P.J. Dozier](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/pj-dozier/012742/) or [Vincent Poirier](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/vincent-poirier/004887/) back in the lineup, he can find ways to motivate the players he has and get the most out of the available talent. More than anything else, that is what Efes needs right now.

### 14. Virtus Bologna (6-7)

**Black Friday purchase:** GPS navigation for winning road games

At home, Virtus looks like a Final Four team (5–0). Away from Bologna? The GPS keeps rerouting. Its 1-7 road mark hides some close heartbreaks, but narrow losses in Barcelona and Istanbul show it is not far off. [Carsen Edwards](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/carsen-edwards/011987/) is basically a cheat code at home (21.4 ppg.) and merely “really good” on the road (15.5 ppg.). A little travel magic would change everything.

### 15. Paris Basketball (5-8)

**Black Friday purchase:** A team-wide glue kit

Paris has only one win in its last seven, but every one of those losses has been within reach. With [Lamar Stevens](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/lamar-stevens/014009/) finally debuting and [Jared Rhoden](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/jared-rhoden/014178/) joining the mix, the roster is filling out. [Justin Robinson](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/justin-robinson/014008/) has emerged as a top EuroLeague guard, and [Nadir Hifi](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nadir-hifi/012640/) remains a human spark plug. What Paris needs now is simple: everyone healthy, available, and connected long enough to build momentum.

### 16. FC Bayern Munich (5-8)

**Black Friday purchase:** A few nights at a nice Munich hotel

Bayern has now lost four games in a row – the last two by a combined 48 points. This comes in the midst of a run of seven straight EuroLeague games on the road. Coach Gordon Herbert has not been with the team over the last three games either due to illness. What Bayern could use are a few nights at home – or maybe at a luxury hotel in Munich – to get back on track.

### 17. Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade (4-9)

**Black Friday purchase:** Coupons for “better defensive effort”

In the first two months of the season, we have watched Partizan players play subpar levels on defense. Partizan is ranked dead-last in opponents’ three-point shooting (41.5%) and second-to-last two-point shooting allowed (58.7%). Whether Zeljko Obradovic stays or a new head coach arrives, if he can redeem coupons for better defense, he may be able to help Partizan get out of its current tailspin.

### 18. Kosner Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (4-9)

**Black Friday purchase:** A stud stretch-4

Baskonia would improve right away with a power forward who can open the floor and attack the rim. [Tadas Sedekerskis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tadas-sedekerskis/007230/) is already there, doing a great job and leading the team as its captain. [Clement Frisch](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/clement-frisch/014026/) has seen very limited playing time. Baskonia has a great tradition of great power forwards, including Luis Scola, Mirza Teletovic and Toko Shengelia, among others. With that type of player, Baskonia would have a more balanced roster.

### 19. Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv (3-10)

**Black Friday purchase:** A true rim protector

Maccabi started the season without a true rim protector at the center position and has paid a price for that. While it has managed to block its fair share of shots thanks to the athleticism and mobility of players like [TJ Leaf](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/tj-leaf/014012/) and [Roman Sorkin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/roman-sorkin/011219/), the team has no true traditional center (spare inexperienced rookie [Clifford Omoruyi](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/clifford-omoruyi/014121/)). Accordingly, Maccabi is second-to-last in the league in rebounding difference, and it needs a defensive backbone to improve on that.

### 20. LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne (3-10)

**Black Friday purchase:** A reinforcement bundle pack

Someone has to sit at the bottom, and right now it’s ASVEL. The results have been rough, though the Round 13 return of [Nando De Colo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nando-de-colo/002100/) was at least a bright spot. Still, reinforcements – any shape, any size – would transform the outlook. Until then, coach Pierric Poupet will squeeze every drop out of the roster he has.

Obradovic returned to Partizan in June of 2021, and his arrival started a movement that has turned into celebrations of basketball at Partizan home games.

“It shouldn’t end like this! Partizan, that is you”, is what Partizan center Aleksej Pokusevski wrote on his Instagram Story as a message to the 65-year-old head coach.

Team captain Vanja Marinkovic posted a message on WhatsApp: “If there is a chance we continue, let’s prove it together that we are different. There is a practice on Saturday… I hope together.”

Obradovic resigned on Wednesday following a 22-point loss at Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, a game where his team allowed a 25-0 second-half run that turned a 2-point back-and-forth affair into a full-scale blowout. It was also Partizan’s seventh defeat in the last eight EuroLeague games, as the team dropped to 4-9.

After the game in Athens, Obradovic had no answer to the question of how and what to change. The day after, he submitted his resignation.

But perhaps only until the voices of tens of thousands of fans, unwilling to accept the departure of the club’s greatest legend, grew too loud.

Nunn powered Panathinaikos to a 91-69 victory over Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, scoring 26 points on highly efficient shooting: 4-of-5 on two-pointers, 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and 9-of-12 from the foul line. He added 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and drew 9 fouls.

Shields matched that PIR with an equally brilliant performance in Milan’s 88-102 road win at Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv. The forward also tallied 26 points, going a perfect 4-of-4 on two-pointers, 3-of-7 from long range and a flawless 9-of-9 on free throws. He complemented his scoring with 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 7 fouls drawn.

In third place this week is LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne veteran [Nando De Colo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nando-de-colo/002100/), who posted a 34 PIR in his team’s 88-78 defeat at FC Barcelona. De Colo finished with 22 points on near-perfect shooting – 2-of-2 on twos, 2-of-3 on threes and 12-of-12 on free throws – while also contributing 2 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals and 8 fouls drawn.

Fourth place goes to Barcelona’s [Kevin Punter](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kevin-punter/009862/), who starred in his team's win over ASVEL. Punter had a 33 PIR, powered by 24 points on 8-of-12 two-pointers and 8-of-9 free throws, along with 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal and 6 fouls drawn.

### Individual highs: Sasha Vezenkov, Olympiacos, 29 points

Olympiacos Piraeus forward Sasha Vezenkov led all scorers in Round 13 with 29 points. Paris Basketball’s Nadir Hifi remains the EuroLeague’s overall scoring leader at 20.7 points per game.

Panathinaikos big man Juancho Hernangomez had the top rebounding performance of the round with 15 boards. Olympiacos center Nikola Milutinov continues to lead the league with 8.2 rebounds per night.

Zalgiris star Sylvain Francisco topped all players in this round with 11 assists. He leads the EuroLeague with 7.3 assists per game.

Thomas Walkup of Olympiacos recorded a round-high 4 steals. Monaco’s Alpha Diallo remains the season leader with 1.8 steals per game.

Three players – Baskonia’s Mamadi Diakite, Real Madrid’s Walter Tavares and ASVEL’s Armel Traore – shared the lead in blocks in Round 13 with 3 apiece. Tavares holds the season lead at 2.1 blocks per game.

Two players achieved double-doubles in Round 13: Chima Moneke (11 points, 11 rebounds) and Sylvain Francisco (23 points, 11 assists).

[Anadolu Efes Istanbul](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/anadolu-efes-istanbul/ist/) announced on Thursday that it has parted ways with head coach Igor Kokoskov. The decision was made after [the team lost to AS Monaco by 36 points](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/monaco-breaks-club-history-again-in-beatdown-of-efes/) on Wednesday, which marked the third-worst loss in terms of margin of victory in club history.

In its official statement, the club said: “Anadolu Efes Sports Club has parted ways with Mr. Igor Kokoskov. We thank him for his efforts for our club and wish him success in the next stage of his career. Until our new head coach is appointed, the team will continue its work under the management of Radovan Trifunovic.”

Kokoskov, 53, joined Efes ahead of the 2025–26 season, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both the NBA and European basketball. He made history as the first European-born head coach in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns, and guided Slovenia to the EuroBasket title in 2017. Kokoskov previously coached Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the EuroLeague and served as an assistant for several NBA teams, including Detroit, where he won an NBA championship in 2004.

Taking over on an interim basis is Radovan Trifunovic, who has been part of Efes’s coaching staff this season. The Slovenian coach previously led his country’s national team from 2017 to 2020 and worked alongside Kokoskov during Slovenia’s historic EuroBasket triumph. Trifunovic will guide Efes while the club searches for a permanent replacement.

Efes is currently tied for 14th in the standings with a 5-8 record, including 3-4 at home.

And it was a good boost of confidence as the team has the national team break to work with the play-caller.

After a back-and-forth game with 17 lead changes and 13 ties in the first three quarters, Barcelona finally putting the game away at the start of the fourth quarter as it improved to an 8-5 record.

“It was a very difficult but super important game for us,” Pascual said. “I think it’s one of the key games of the season in terms of the first half \[of the season\]. It cost us a lot, but we won the game with the help of the whole arena, the packed arena, and people helping us and pushing us in difficult moments.”

The key to the win for [Kevin Punter](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kevin-punter/009862/) was staying aggressive offensively.

“As a team we are always aggressive offensively as a collective group – always staying in attack mode. So we were able to open up a lead,” said Punter, who led the way with 24 points and 7 assists. “We have to keep building. It’s a long season. Once we find our groove and get rolling, it will look even better. But right now we just have to continue to try and find our rhythm.”

Punter’s output, with his 24 points all coming in the final three quarters, was just three points off his season high of 27 points in Round 3 against Valencia Basket.

[Dario Brizuela](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/dario-brizuela/009992/) chipped in 12 points, including seven points in the decisive run to start the fourth quarter. And the guard said the team is still trying to figure out how Pascual wants it to play.

“It’s hard to know a coach after 10 days and to be able to play 100% how he wants, but we are getting there,” he said.

The national team break comes at a very opportune time for Barcelona, so the team and Pascual can really work together and get in tuned with one another.

“We have seven or eight days without games during the window to practice with him. So that will be a good week to practice and get closer to how he wants. So it’s important for us to go into that week with this win,” said Brizuela.

“We know in the EuroLeague we will have wins and defeats, but if you can win some games in a row you have more confidence. On offense we are still not that effective, especially from the three-point line. In general we are sharing the ball well. Defensively we are far away from the level we have to be if we want to do something great in this competition. But we are making steps. Hopefully in the near future, we will play better on both sides of the court,” Pascual added.

ASVEL, for its part, bounced back in solid fashion from its disappointing 52-84 home loss in Round 12 against AS Monaco. ASVEL continued its road woes with a 0-7 record away from home and 3-10 overall, which sees it sitting in last place in the standings

“I’m proud of the guys overall. We fought with what we had. We did our best. We competed for at least 32, 33 minutes. At the end of the game we were not good enough. But we will keep working and try to compete even more next time,” said ASVEL coach Pierric Poupet.

ASVEL did have good news in the game as leader [Nando De Colo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nando-de-colo/002100/) made a strong comeback from the hamstring injury that kept him out since Round 8. The 38-year-old poured in 22 points – including making 12 of 12 free throws – while dishing out a season-high 9 assists and grabbing 2 rebounds and 2 steals for a season-best PIR of 34.
