It was a night full of symbolism, passion, and history in the making.

[Dino Radja](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/dino-radja/aha/), a two-time continental champion and future Hall of Famer, scored the first basket in modern EuroLeague history and grabbed 16 defensive rebounds – still the joint fourth-highest single-game total ever.

[Stephane Risacher](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/stephane-risacher/ahb/) – now the father of BKT EuroCup Rising Star and future No.1 pick in the NBA Draft, [Zaccharie Risacher](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/eurocup/players/zaccharie-risacher/010718/) – led all scorers with 18 points for Olympiacos, but Real Madrid’s balanced attack – with seven players scoring between 7 and 14 points, led by [Alberto Angulo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/alberto-angulo/ain/) – secured the win.

Nwora led Zvezda to an 88-79 win over previously unbeaten Zalgiris Kaunas with 24 points, shooting 7-of-12 on two-pointers, 1-of-4 from three, and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. He also pulled down 7 rebounds, recorded a career-high 5 steals, dished 3 assists, and blocked a personal-best 2 shots. It all added up to a PIR of 34 – the highest of his career and the top performance index rating in this round.

The second-highest PIR of the round, 33, belonged to Panathinaikos Athens center [Richaun Holmes](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/richaun-holmes/014011/). In a 91-85 win over LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, Holmes posted 24 points on 11-of-12 two-point shooting, 10 rebounds, and 1 block. [Nadir Hifi](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nadir-hifi/012640/) of Paris Basketball followed with a PIR of 32 in his team’s 105-87 win over Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz. Hifi’s 32 PIR and 29 points were both career highs. He also tallied 5 assists and 4 steals.

[Mfiondu Kabengele](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/mfiondu-kabengele/012796/) of Dubai Basketball registered a 31 PIR in the newcomer’s resounding 69-93 road win at the home of the defending champs, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. Kabengele contributed 26 points and 7 rebounds in the victory. Rounding out the list of this round’s top performers were [Kendrick Nunn](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/kendrick-nunn/012774/) of Panathinaikos and [Vasilije Micic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/vasilije-micic/002580/) of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv. Nunn shined with 26 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds in the Greens’ win over ASVEL, while Micic tallied 24 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals in Hapoel’s 93-100 triumph at Valencia Basket.

### Individual highs: Nadir Hifi, Paris, 29 points

Nadir Hifi led all scorers in Round 4 with 29 points. He is also the league’s top scorer after four rounds, averaging 23.3 points per game.

[Devin Booker](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/devin-booker/007056/) of EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Paris forward [Derek Willis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/derek-willis/009664/) each pulled down a round-high 12 rebounds. [Sasha Vezenkov](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/sasha-vezenkov/003469/) of Olympiacos Piraeus remains the league's top rebounder with an average of 10.0 boards per game.

Three players shared the round’s high of 8 assists: [Chris Jones](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/chris-jones/010568/) of Hapoel, [Toko Shengelia](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/tornike-shengelia/001133/) of FC Barcelona, and [Darius Thompson](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/darius-thompson/011078/) of Valencia. The overall assists leaders are [Wade Baldwin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/wade-baldwin-iv/009863/) of Fenerbahce and [Sylvain Francisco](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/sylvain-francisco/007975/) of Zalgiris, each averaging 6.8 per game.

Round 4 MVP Nwora led all players with 5 steals. Hifi remains the season leader with 3.3 steals per game.

Twelve players had 2 blocks in Round 4. One of them, [Walter Tavares](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/walter-tavares/005791/) of Real Madrid, is the league leader with 1.8 blocks per game.

Two players recorded double-doubles in Round 4: Holmes with 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Booker with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Virtus Bologna remains perfect at home in the EuroLeague this season, thanks in no small part to the play of Carsen Edwards in Round 4.

Carsen Edwards inspires Virtus to another big night at the PalaDozza

There was plenty of excitement when [Virtus Bologna](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/virtus-segafredo-bologna/vir/) announced the signing of [Carsen Edwards](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/carsen-edwards/011987/) this past summer. The 27-year-old, coming off a career-best season with FC Bayern Munich, was seen as the centerpiece of Vu Nere’s new project. But through the first three rounds of the EuroLeague season, Edwards found himself under the microscope.

That changed on Wednesday night.

The former Boston Celtic delivered his breakout performance in a Virtus jersey, leading his team to a 77-73 win over [AS Monaco](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/as-monaco/mco/). It marked the Italian side’s second straight home victory, following their Round 1 triumph over Real Madrid (74-68).

Back-to-back road losses in Rounds 2 and 3 had cooled some of the early buzz around Dusko Ivanovic’s squad, with criticism falling on Edwards among others. But in Round 4, he set the tone from the tip at the PalaDozza, scoring 8 points in the opening quarter – matching the 8 from [Nikola Mirotic](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nikola-mirotic/000796/), who received some boos following his two years with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.

Edwards added another 8 across the second and third quarters, then dropped 8 more in the final frame to finish with 24 – his highest-scoring game for Virtus and his best since the final day of the 2024-25 regular season with Bayern.

“How are you and I going to talk about the best player that we have?” said [Luca Vildoza](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/luca-vildoza/007947/) afterward, when asked about Edwards. “I’m just proud. I like playing with him. I hope he continues that way. He showed last year the way he can hoop, the kind of player he is, so I’m just really happy being next to him.”

It was a standout night for both Edwards and Virtus, though things nearly unraveled at the end. After a driving layup from Edwards pushed the lead to 74–62 with just under three minutes remaining, Monaco responded with an 8–0 run that quieted the PalaDozza. Edwards stepped up again, drawing a foul from [Alpha Diallo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/alpha-diallo/011226/) and calmly sinking both free throws to restore a two-possession cushion with 67 seconds left.

Virtus did just enough to hold on and even its record at 2–2 on the season.

“It was important for us to build good habits and put ourselves in a good position in this game, especially at home. It was good for us,” Edwards told EuroLeague TV in his post-game interview.

Those habits will face another test on Friday night, when Edwards and Virtus go on the road to face LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, looking to string together consecutive wins for the first time this season.

Monaco, on the other hand, will look to get back on track when it hosts Valencia Basket, also on Friday night.

Theo Maledon had 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists, while Trey Lyles shined with 17 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes of playing time, as Real registered its third consecutive win, this time fending off a big fourth-quarter rally by the visiting Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, to grab a 93-86 victory.

Los Blancos turned to Lyles, debutant Maledon in win over Partizan

It took little time for [Theo Maledon](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/theo-maledon/007027/) to get in the thick of things for Real Madrid. And another newcomer, [Trey Lyles](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/trey-lyles/014117/), to display what kind of a difference-maker he can be for *Los Blancos*.

This was Maledon’s first EuroLeague game in a Real uniform after starting the season with an injury. Not that, nor spending just 14 minutes and 15 seconds on the floor, prevented him from playing a key role down the stretch.

Maledon had 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists, while Lyles shined with 17 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes of playing time, as Real registered its third consecutive win, this time fending off a big fourth-quarter rally by the visiting Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, to grab a 93-86 victory.

Real dominated Partizan for three quarters and led by as many as 21 points. It was 80-61 with 6 minutes to go when Coach Zeljko Obradovic rallied his troops to get within 84-80 with 2 minutes to go.

On the ensuing trip down the floor, it was first Maledon who managed to draw a foul as the shot-clock was expiring and Lyles used the new 14 seconds to drive to the rim and score in heavy traffic.

After 2 free throws from Jabari Parker restored a 4-point difference, Maledon calmly answered by nailing a corner triple after using a screen from Walter Tavares, to give *Los Blancos* a 7-point cushion. After another Partizan basket, it was Facundo Campazzo who sent a no-look pass for Lyles, whose layup sealed the deal with 33 seconds to go.

“It means a lot to any player when your teammates are relying on you and look for you in those moments,” Lyles said in a postgame interview for EuroLeague TV. “It’s a good feeling to have, and we have guys that are unselfish and share the ball, so it makes playing a lot easier and the shots a lot easier.”

Lyles has improved in each of the four games he played, and in this one he was 5-of-6 on two-pointers and 2-of-4 shooting threes. His stat line had 5 rebounds, 2 steals and a key highlight-reel chase-down block with 2:20 to go in the fourth quarter, that stopped a Partizan fast break.

On the other hand, Maledon had his first Real Madrid outing in front of the home fans, and he enjoyed every bit of it.

“It felt great, it felt amazing to play in front of our fans, to start at home. I definitely felt the love that the fans gave us, so I'm really grateful for that, the 24-year old French point guard said.

After he entered the floor with 8:24 left in the second quarter, it took him just over 60 seconds to get his first assist on a Mario Hezonja three-pointer, and less than 2 minutes to score his first points of the EuroLeague season.

“I was able to get a rhythm, to play my game”, Maledon explained. “Obviously, coming back \[from injury\] there's always things to improve, so I think it was a great first one, especially that we got the win.

“I know I'll be on minute restrictions. Obviously, we'll try to test how I feel and hopefully go on from there. So, I was really just focused on being myself and seeing if I can help the team and play my game.”

Maledon made 4-of-7 field goals and flashed his quick first step to harass defenders and get to the free throw line where he made all 7 free throws for the night. It turned out, Real Madrid needed every bit of it after comfortably cruising for 34 minutes.

“I think we have enough experience to have a better control in those moments,” coach Real head coach Sergio Scariolo said after the win. “You know that an opponent like Partizan with such great system, great players, great coach will come back to the game. At this point, we don’t have the consistency and endurance to last at this level for 40 minutes, but we have to contain damages during the bad minutes.”

That damage control will likely get tested in 48 hours, with Real next traveling to play Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet at Belgrade Arena.

Despite the departure of head coach Tiago Splitter and the rebuilding the team underwent after losing its backbone last summer, Paris has returned as strong as ever this term, boasting the offensive talent many teams would be jealous of. And at the center of this Paris 2.0 sit two guards who have what it takes to make the difference game in, game out.

Coming into the game as the league’s top scorer with 21.3 points per game, Hifi had a slow start to the duel, going scoreless before giving the mantle to Robinson. The latter came off the bench to score 5 straight points before being subbed off for Hifi midway through the first quarter. The French guard rediscovered his spark, netting 8 points including three straight midrange jumpers, as Paris secured a 30-21 lead after 10 minutes.

Hifi became the first player to take his tally to double digits by scoring a bucket 2 and a half minutes into the second quarter. He headed to the bench, as Robinson returned to the floor and nailed back-to-back triples, with Paris leading 51-47 at halftime. The two guards bagged 8 points apiece in the third, as Paris took a 79-71 cushion into the closing quarter.

An unlucky Baskonia saw both [Markus Howard](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/markus-howard/011948/) and [Trent Forrest](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/trent-forrest/013367/) miss the second half due to injuries, but stayed closed and threatened with a final comeback push. Yet, Paris went on a 10-2 surge halfway through the fourth, with Robinson opening the run from inside and Hifi drilling two straight triples for a 95-81 lead.

“That was a great run,” Hifi told EuroLeague TV after the game. “Everybody was involved and this is the most important thing for us. To get everybody involved and be confident. This is our strength.”

Having shot 8-for-9 from inside the rainbow, Hifi ended the encounter on 29 points, this being the fourth game in a row where he scored more than 20. He also recorded 5 assists, but more importantly, he contributed on defense with 4 steals – 3 of which came in the last quarter.

“Nadir started from the defense in the last 5 minutes of the game, when he stepped up defensively, and then, as a consequence, he made the baskets that closed the game,” head coach Francesco Tabellini told EuroLeague TV. “That’s for us the way and that’s the target: being consistent from that standpoint.”

It should be noted that Hifi currently leads the EuroLeague by averaging over 3 steals per game, earning his boss's praise after inspiring Paris to the win over Baskonia.

“Nadir, before breaking the game offensively with the 2 triples, he had already stepped up defensively and that’s something that is very important for a player that is learning to be a leader in a team,” Tabellini added in the post-game press conference. “Nadir has the chance to be an unbelievable player just because he’s combining the talent that everybody sees with an on-ball attitude. He keeps his feet grounded.”

Having won three straight games, Paris is set to host Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv in its bid to extend its home streak to three victories, which is what matters most to Robinson, who finished the game on 21 points.

“This league is hard to come by a win,” he noted after the game. “So as many as you can get, no matter how you get them, it’s great. So I think that the more we chip away at it, double week, single week, you’ve got to play hard and get the win no matter what.”

And as Paris’s guard duo already proved on Wednesday, they boast both the firepower and defensive impulse to help their team end this second double-round week of the season in style.

Hapoel never trailed, but Valencia was hot on its heels in the closing minutes.

The visitors led 77-91 when Valencia caught fire with consecutive three-pointers from Omari Moore, Kameron Taylor, Sergio De Larea and Moore again to get back in the game. Matt Costello went to the line with a chance to tie it with 2:31 remaining, but split his shots to cap a 13-0 run.

Then it was time for Jones to shine. He took a pass from Vasilije Micic and drained a three from the corner. Then Jones raced downcourt and intercepted a pass from Costello. Jones went on to score Hapoel's next 4 points – with a layup and 2 free throws – to maintain a two-possession lead despite free throws by Moore.

Jones finished the game 14 points, 8 assists and 3 steals, which were all season highs. Vasilije Micic paced the Hapoel attack with 24 points and 6 assists, Antonio Blakeney added 17 points on 5-of-8 three-point shooting and Elijah Bryant contributed 16 points and 6 rebounds.

It wasn't the first time Jones had a big role in a game between these teams in Valencia. Last season, he started and helped Valencia win the opening game of the best-of-three BKT EuroCup Semifinals against Hapoel. But after Hapoel evened the series, Jones missed the deciding game due to injury and Hapoel won the game, series and – eventually – the EuroCup.

"It was a good game. We came in, it was a little tough situation, not playing without the crowd, but I feel like the guys handled it well," Jones said after the game. "Of course, teams make runs, but we fought through that adversity and came out with the win."

While Hapoel has eight players on the roster from last season's EuroCup championship, it is largely a new team. Two of those returnees, Yam Madar and Bruno Caboclo, are sidelined with injuries, while the three biggest contributors against Valencia in terms of PIR – Micic, Bryant and Jones – are among the slew of newcomers.

Micic was the team's biggest offseason signing and he said after the game that he feels like "a rookie."

"To be honest, I don't know how to describe our basketball right now," Micic said. "We've won three times, but probably this win covers the real picture… We want to get better every day. I hope today we will learn a little bit about ourselves because it's just a poor game, but no much time to to cry, and hopefully we can maintain winning, but also we need to get better as a team.

"Sometimes I have good nights, sometimes I don't, but I'm trying. Also, as I said always, for me, every game is like a final because I came back (from the NBA). I want to play. I want to fight for my position again. I feel like a rookie. So tonight it was, it was better than previous (games)."

Coach Dimitris Itoudis addressed the fact that Hapoel is still a work in progress in the post-game press conference saying: "Another win in the marathon. It’s important for us that we bounced back as a team, we bounced back after a not-so-good performance that we had in the previous game (against archrival Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv). And we’re looking forward to getting to know each other because we are in the process of becoming a real team. Still we are trying to connect the pieces together."

All of that is not a great sign for Hapoel's future opponents. The team is an offensive dynamo, averaging 95.0 points per game heading into Friday’s showdown against Paris Basketball in the French capital. And if Coach Itoudis does get all the pieces to fit together, it will spell trouble for EuroLeague defenses everywhere.

Holmes displayed the potential to be a more than worthy fill-in for the injured [Mathias Lessort](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/mathias-lessort/003842/), who is still feeling the collateral effects of last December’s horrific ankle injury which had sidelined him for months and forced him into a stuttering and premature comeback.

Holmes, who produced some good performances in the NBA, especially at the Sacramento Kings, only averaged 5.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in his opening three games for Panathinaikos, but he came unleashed with a monstrous input which drove the Greens to a hard-fought victory.

It was a perfect self-served birthday present for Holmes, who acknowledged in his post-game comments that he was still finding his feet at Panathinaikos. 

“I am a competitive man so when I’m not playing up to my standards I try to raise my game and help us win,” he said in a flash courtside interview. “I am glad that I was able to do that tonight. The guards did a great job finding me and I am still learning how to play with them. They made my job to catch and finish a lot easier.”

Holmes was a menace at both ends of the court, especially in ASVEL’s paint, as he shot 11 of 12 from the floor and collected 7 offensive boards, giving his markers a roasting all night.

[Kendrick Nunn](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kendrick-nunn/012774/), who [stood out in the previous round’s 84-86 win at Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/kendrick-nunn-heroics-break-the-curse-as-panathinaikos-grabs-long-awaited-win-in-vitoria/) with 30 points including a game-winning shot at the buzzer, delivered again as he netted 18 of his game-high 26 points in a rampant first half.

The reigning EuroLeague MVP mixed layups with mid-range jumpers to devastating effect, adding 5 rebounds and 6 assists to his overall tally. He was stifled out for much of the second half but sank some clutch free throws late in the game, when ASVEL threatened to stage an upset.

The visitors kept chipping away at Panathinaikos, sinking 15 of 32 from downtown as they slashed the deficit to three points several times when the chips were down. At one stage, Panathinaikos responded with a pair of successive alley-oops from Nunn and Holmes, who combined to devastating effect as they showcased their NBA heritage.

Coach Ergin Ataman was happy to take the win although he felt the performance left something to be desired, having singled out Holmes after the big man’s dominant display.

“The positive thing about tonight is that Holmes showed his ability and I expect him to gain confidence from that performance,” the Turkish tactician said. “We made some defensive mistakes but we found a way to win and that’s the most important thing in these double-round weeks.”

“We made some good offensive plays but we also let ASVEL make 15 three-pointers, which is too much. We now shift our focus to the next game at Anadolu Efes Istanbul on Friday.”

ASVEL produced a fine team effort as five visiting players finished in double figures, led by veteran [Nando De Colo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/nando-de-colo/002100/), who poured 18 points, but they fell short of forcing a final twist as they lost the battle of the boards 38-24, having collected a mere 4 offensive rebounds against the home side’s 13. 

Still, coach Pierric Poupet was pleased with his team’s effort. “We played a great team in a vibrant atmosphere, we left it all out there on the court and I am proud of how my team fought,” he said.

The home team’s big man posted impressive figures and his effort was complemented by Kendrick Nunn

Panathinaikos improved to 3-1 in the EuroLeague as the competition’s 2024 champs eased to a 91-85 home win over ASVEL on the back of a double-double of 24 points and 10 boards from big man Richaun Holmes, who seems to have found his feet after an off season move from the Washington Wizards.<br>
Kendrick Nunn poured 18 of his 26 points in the first half for the hosts while five visiting players finished in double figures for ASVEL, paced by veteran Nando De Colo who sank 18 points.

ASVEL held its own early on but Panathinaikos moved up a gear and took a 26-19 lead at the end of the first quarter as Nunn sank 9 points and Holmes added 6 for the hosts. The French team matched the Greens in every department in the second quarter before Panathinaikos moved up a gear to carve out a 48-39 halftime advantage with a 10-0 run.

Holmes kept up the good work to keep Panathinaikos in the driving seat as the Greens maintained a 68-60 lead at the end of the third quarter, with the visitors slashing their deficit to just three points several times in the fourth but were unable to force the final twist.

Virtus led for the entirety of the second half as it brought a two-game losing skid to an end by beating Monaco 77-73 at the PalaDozza. Dusko Ivanovic’s side took control of the contest early in the fourth quarter, taking its first double-digit lead and later going up by 13, but a late rally by Monaco made things nervy for the hosts. However, a couple of free throws by Carsen Edwards and one by Alessandro Pajola were enough for Virtus to notch its second win of the campaign. Both teams now hold a 2-2 record.

Edwards was the star man on offense for Virtus, posting a game-high 24 points in addition to 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. There was only one other player who netted in double figures for the Italian outfit, as Saliou Niang netted 10 points. Niang also had 6 rebounds, of which 5 came on the offensive end. Just two of the 12 players that stepped onto the floor for Virtus went scoreless, with 10 players scoring 3 points or more. For Monaco, Nikola Mirotic top scored with 16 points, followed by Alpha Diallo with 11, and Mike James and Daniel Theis with 10 apiece.

Paris grabbed its third straight victory of the season by beating Baskonia 105-87 on Wednesday night at Adidas Arena. In an entertaining high-pace clash, the hosts led throughout but Baskonia stayed close, trailing 51-47 at halftime. Yet, the guests lost both Markus Howard and Trent Forrest to first-half injuries and Paris pulled away in the fourth quarter to clinch its second home win.

Nadir Hifi led all scorers with 29 points and Justin Robinson netted 21 as Paris improved its record to 3-1. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot paced Baskonia with 20 points, while Luka Samanic and Hamidou Diallo scored 15 each. But it wasn’t enough for the visitors, who have conceded more than 100 points in three of their four games so far, remaining the only winless team in EuroLeague (0-4).

Barcelona grabbed its third consecutive EuroLeague victory by overwhelming Maccabi 71-92 at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade, Serbia, in Round 4 on Tuesday. Barca improved to 3-1 in the standings while Maccabi dropped to 1-3. Barca led 18-31 at the end of the first quarter, extended its margin to 32-60 at halftime and never looked back.

Willy Hernangomez led the winners with 19 points. Kevin Punter and Myles Cale added 12 while Toko Shengelia flirted with a triple-double with 8 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in less than 19 minutes. Sayon Keita made his EuroLeague debut with Barca and scored 4 points as a starter. Marcio Santos paced Maccabi with 18 points, Tamir Blatt added 15 and Roman Sorkin had 10.

Dubai made quite the statement on Tuesday night by going on the road to Fenerbahce and thrashing the defending EuroLeague champs 69-93. The visitors led from the midway point of the first quarter right until the final buzzer, going up by as many as 32 points with 2 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. With this win, Dubai ended its two-game losing streak to improve to a 2-2 record. The misery continues for Fenerbahce, however, as it dropped its third straight.

Mfiondu Kabengele had his best performance to date in his rookie EuroLeague season, posting 26 points and 7 rebounds. Another key contributor for Dubai was Klemen Prepelic, who had 13 points and 6 assists. The UAE-based team also saw Dwayne Bacon net 21 points, Davis Bertans pour in 12 and Filip Petrusev score 11. For Fenerbahce, Wade Baldwin – who was ejected in the fourth quarter – and Bonzie Colson had 12 points each, followed by Devon Hall with 10.

Zalgiris led 57-58 entering the fourth quarter before Zvezda hit top gear in the home stretch and forced the final twist, taking a 77-69 lead on the back of fervent home support, as Izundu raised the decibel level when he came up with a steal and a ferocious slam to make it 80-72. Zalgiris had one last roll of the dice, but Zvezda stayed firm to give coach Sasa Obradovic a perfect homecoming on his second debut for the Serbian side.

In a game that saw 11 lead changes in the first half, the hosts took control of the game thanks to a 14-2 run midway through the third quarter, right after Milan earned a game-high 7 point-difference, 28-35. Triples by Andreas Obst and Kamar Baldwin at that moment set the tone for the host team, as Milan melted down with just 20 points scored in the second half. 

Bayern, which improved to 2-2, was led by Vladimir Lucic, who posted 15 points, while Obst and Baldwin followed with 14 and 11 respectively. Devin Booker had a bittersweet return to Munich, as he posted a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds to pace the visitors, and Shavon Shields had 10 points in the losing effort. Milan slipped to 1-3 after its third loss in a row.

Back in 1995, Obradovic led Real to its eighth EuroLeague title with a 73–61 win over Olympiacos Piraeus in the final. It was *Los Merengues*' first EuroLeague championship in 15 years. They wouldn’t win another until 2015. Obradovic also guided Real to the Saporta Cup title in 1996.

The rivalry has only grown in recent years. In the 2023 EuroLeague Playoffs, Real pulled off what many consider the greatest comeback in EuroLeague history – becoming the first and only team to recover from a 0–2 deficit in a best-of-five series. The Spanish side won three straight games to eliminate Partizan, reach the Final Four, and go on to win the title.

Game 5 was unforgettable. Real rallied from 16 points down in the final 13 minutes to win 98–94. [Sergio Rodriguez](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/rodriguez-sergio/cvm/) led the way with 19 points, 6 assists, and a PIR of 26. Just three years later, "El Chacho" is now the team’s general manager.

Since those opening losses in the 2023 series, Real has beaten Partizan seven straight times. That includes a dramatic 91–89 road win in Belgrade last season, sealed by a buzzer-beating jump hook from [Walter Tavares](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/walter-tavares/005791/).

Tavares has consistently delivered big games against Partizan. On May 2, 2023, he set career highs with 26 points, 11 two-pointers made, and a PIR of 41 in Real’s 82–80 Game 3 victory. Both teams are looking for their third straight win in the competition.

Partizan edged EA7 Emporio Armani Milan 80–78 in Round 2, then topped Anadolu Efes Istanbul 93–87 in Round 3. [Isaac Bonga](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/isaac-bonga/006760/) has been key so far, averaging 11.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and a PIR of 18.7 after helping Germany win EuroBasket 2025.

His matchup with [Trey Lyles](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/trey-lyles/014117/) – who is coming off a strong game against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne – could be a highlight. Real also picked up two home wins — 89–77 over Olympiacos in Round 2 and 85–72 against ASVEL in Round 3.
