Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens learned another bad injury news, with center Omer Yurtseven suffering a leg injury. Yurtseven got hurt in the Greek League game against arch-rival Olympiacos Pireuas, and it will keep him sidelined six to eight weeks, according to the club.
It is another major blow for Panathinaikos frontcourt, after losing all-EuroLeague center Mathias Lessort in Round 17, and with Kostas Antetokounmpo appearing in only three games this season.
In the absence of Lessort, it was Yurtseven who stepped up. Over the last four games he has posted 17.3 points and 7.3 rebounds, which improved his season averages to 8.2 points and 3.8 rebounds.
