Partizan re-ups with James Nunnally

Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has kept a key veteran presence on its roster by re-signing swingman James Nunnally to a one-year deal, the club on announced Saturday. Nunnally (2.01 meters, 33 years old) posted 9.2 points on 40.5% three-point shooting, along with 2.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists, in 37 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances last season, having helping Partizan reach the EuroLeague Playoffs for the first time in 12 years. Nunnally also had 9.7 points on 51.5% three-point shooting and 2.0 rebounds in helping Partizan win the ABA League trophy.

This will mark the continuation of collaboration between Nunnally and Partizan head coach Zeljko Obradovic. Aside from last season, the two were also together for three seasons at Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, winning the EuroLeague title in 2017.

In his six seasons in the competition – three with Fenerbahce and one each with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, EA7 Armani Exchange Milan and Partizan – Nunnally has made 44.0% of his three-point shots, which ranks 10th all time, and has made 89.9% of his free throws, ninth-best all time. He is one of only two players to rank in the top 10 in both categories.

During his career, Nunnally has also played for Maccabi Ashdod in Israel, Estudiantes Madrid in Spain, Avellino in Italy, Kavala in Greece, the Atlanta Hawks, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Houston Rockets and the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA; the Motor City Cruise and the Texas Legends in the G League, and the Shanghai Sharks in China. In addition to winning the EuroLeague, he also won two Turkish championships and one Turkish Cup with Fenerbahce.
