Partizan signs guard Jaleen Smith from Virtus

Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade announced that it has signed Jaleen Smith from Virtus Segafredo Bologna for the remainder of the season. Smith (1.90 meters, 29 years old) averaged 5.3 points on 48.3% three-point shooting in 13 EuroLeague games this season. He spent the previous two seasons playing in the EuroLeague with ALBA Berlin. He averaged 11.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and a 10.7 PIR across 31 games in the 2022-23 campaign.
Smith started his career with USC Heidelberg and also played for Riesen Ludwigsburg in Germany before joining ALBA in 2021. Smith was chosen as the 2020-21 German League MVP after averaging 15.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.7 steals and a PIR of 19.1. In his first season with ALBA, Smith helped the team to win the German League and Cup double. He has also been a member of the Croatian national team.
