A dominant showing in the first round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague’s Play-In Showdown has seen Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv guard Lorenzo Brown achieve play-in MVP honors.
Brown amassed a season-high 35 PIR as Maccabi thrashed Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 113-85, which saw the Israeli lock up the seventh seed in the EuroLeague Playoffs. The 33-year-old guard posted a season-best 29 points on a career-high 7 made three-pointers, in addition to recording 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. Brown’s 29 points and 7 made triples are new postseason highs for Maccabi. This is Brown’s third MVP award in 156 EuroLeague games over a five-season period.
