Derrick Williams had a monster performance for Panathinaikos Athens in a Round 9 overtime win over Virtus Segafredo Bologna. Williams finished with 26 points, one shy of career-high, on 5-for-7 two-point and 5-for-8 three-point shooting, while also pulling down 8 rebounds. Among his new career-best 5 three-pointers, none was more important than the one he hit with 16.2 seconds left in overtime, which proved to be a game-winning shot as it gave Panathinaikos 86-85 lead. Williams finished the game with a PIR of 30, tied for the second-best of his EuroLeague career.
