Round 11 MVP: Serge Ibaka, FC Bayern Munich
Veteran center Serge Ibaka dominated for FC Bayern Munich in a 90-76 win over Virtus Segafredo Bologna in Round 11 of the 2023-24 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. He led his team to its third win in the last four games and in the process earned MVP of the Round honors.
Ibaka, who returned to the competition this season after making his debut in the 2011-12, posted career highs of 24 points and 13 rebounds for his first double-double in EuroLeague action. Ibaka made 9 of 12 two-pointers, as well as hitting his only three-point attempt and all 3 free throws. He also had 2 blocks, accumulating a personal-best PIR of 34, getting his first-ever MVP award and Bayern’s first MVP of the Round since 2020-21.
Two players accumulated this round's second-best PIR, 32: Facundo Campazzo of Real Madrid and Edgaras Ulanovas of Zalgiris Kaunas. In a 100-99 overtime loss against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, Campazzo scored 33 points while tying a EuroLeague record by making 11 of 11 on two-point shots and also had 7 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Ulanovas scored 20 points on 6-for-6 two-point shooting, along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists in a 70-83 road win over EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. Nicolas Laprovittola of FC Barcelona had a PIR of 31. In a 101-92 win over LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, Laprovittola netted a career-high and a club-record 8 three-pointers, and also dished 9 assists. Rounding out the list of this round's top performers is Fenerbahce guard Marko Guduric, who had 21 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in his team's overtime win against Real.
