Sergeant Swat made history in Round 14

Real Madrid suffered an 81-72 defeat on the road at Zalgiris Kaunas on Thursday evening, but it was a night to remember for Los Blancos center Walter Tavares. Nicknamed Sergeant Swat, Tavares finished with 4 blocks in the loss, which made him the EuroLeague's all-time leader for blocked shots. Coming into Round 14, the 30-year-old was tied with Bryant Dunston of Anadolu Efes Istanbul on 317, but his exploits at Zalgirio Arena helped him climb up to 321 blocks in his 176-game EuroLeague career.

De Colo joined an exclusive club

Another player who wrote his name further into the EuroLeague history books on Thursday was Nando De Colo, as the LCLC ASVEL Villeurbanne guard passed the 4,000-point mark in the competition. Just two players had previously managed to achieve this feat, and both are retired legends of the game: Juan Carlos Navarro of FC Barcelona and Vassilis Spanoulis of Olympiacos Piraeus. De Colo capped a memorable night with an assist for Amine Noua's game-winning three-pointer.

Walden rose to the occasion for Bayern

FC Bayern Munich got back on track against Valencia Basket in Round 14 after suffering a four-point defeat at home to Real Madrid, 64-68, two days earlier. One of the keys to the win on Thursday night was the performance of Corey Walden, who scored his first points of the game with 0:27 left in the third quarter and then erupted for 15 points in the fourth. The 30-year-old also finished with 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal, but it was his scoring burst in the closing stages that helped Bayern secure a 97-92 victory.

Vildoza set new career-high in Round 13

Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade put together a six-game winning run between Rounds 8 and 13, with point guard Luca Vildoza shining in particular during that run. On Tuesday evening, the Argentine took on the scoring load against Zalgiris Kaunas, finishing with a career-high 27 points after going 6-of-8 from two-point range, 4-of-10 on three-pointers, and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. Zvezda saw its running streak halted in Round 14, but Vildoza looks right at home in Belgrade under head coach Dusko Ivanovic.

Webb did something no one else could

Valencia edged past Panathinaikos Athens at La Fonteta on Tuesday night, winning 94-91 in overtime. Bojan Dubljevic earned MVP of the Round honors for his performance, yet it was James Webb who managed to do something that no other player could: record a double-double. Webb had 18 points, going 3-of-5 on two-pointers and 4-of-10 from deep, in addition to 10 rebounds, which meant he was the only player in the EuroLeague to record double-digit numbers in two categories in Round 13.

Monaco broke club record for assists

AS Monaco relied on passing to beat ALBA Berlin at home on Friday night, racking up 25 assists in the victory, a new club record. Mike James led the way with 7 assists to his name, and Okobo had 5. Interestingly, every Monaco player who stepped on the court against ALBA set up a teammate to score at least once.
