All around the world, the derby between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona – El Clásico – is known for being one of the most passionate rivalries in all of sports. Through ‘Rivalries: El Clásico’, the latest episode of Euroleague Basketball Originals’ latest documentary series, discover what is behind this deep-seated rivalry by hearing from those who have experienced this derby first hand on the basketball court.
Former Real players Luka Doncic and Marcus Slaughter explain the perspective from the Spanish capital club, while ex-Barcelona legend Pete Mickeal and current players Jabari Parker, Alex Abrines, Jan Vesely and Dario Brizuela give insights on how they see things from the other side of the rivalry. The rivalry doesn’t only extend to the two sporting institutions, however, as even the streetballers in Barcelona and Madrid are determined to beat one another; this truly is a derby that runs deep between Spain’s two biggest cities.
