Valencia keeps playmaker Jared Harper for another season

Valencia Basket has announced on Tuesday that it has extended contract with point guard Jared Harper for one more season. Harper (1.78 meters, 25 years old) made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut last season, appearing in 31 games and scoring 10.4 points, third most on the team, while dishing 3.3 assists. Harper averaged just under 18 minutes per game, making 5 starts, and hit 41 three-pointers.

Last season's European debut

Harper scored in double figures 18 times last season, with best performances coming in Rounds 21 and 23 when he posted 20 points against ALBA Berlin and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, respectively.

In the Spanish League last season, Harper averaged 9.9 points on 39.7% three-point shooting and 1.9 assists.

Career highlights

Prior to his arrival to Valencia last summer, Harper played with Birmingham of the G League, where he averaged 21.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 38 games. He started the 2021-22 campaign with New Orleans of the NBA, averaging 7.4 points and 2.8 assists in 5 games.

During his professional career, Harper has also played for Phoenix and New York of the NBA, as well as Northern Arizona and Westchester of the G League.
