Wade Baldwin sidelined with hamstring injury
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul has confirmed that Wade Baldwin suffered a hamstring injury during his team's 73-77 win at LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne last Friday night.
Baldwin, in his first season at Fenerbahce after joining from Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, was forced off just 2:39 minutes into the Round 8 contest.
"Fenerbahce Beko Men's Basketball Team player Wade Baldwin IV suffered a hamstring injury in the LDLC ASVEL game played on Friday, November 8," Fenerbahce said in a statement.
"Following our athlete's check-ups at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, a stage one muscle injury was detected and treatment has begun. We wish Wade Baldwin IV a speedy recovery and hope he joins our team as soon as possible."
Through eight games to start the season, Baldwin has averaged 10.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.1 steals and a 9.6 PIR, while Fenerbahce boasts a 6-2 record, joint best in the EuroLeague.
According to reports, it is expected that Baldwin will be out for three to four weeks.
