It was not public knowledge, but Panathinaikos Athens forward Derrick Williams had a pretty rough first night in Belgrade. This is how he summed it up on Instgram:
“We land at 4pm “16:00” and something is wrong with my passport situation .. I was at the airport from then until 6:30am this morning .. off 1 hour of sleep ..<br> <br> I slept on a metal bench last night .. if you want to call it sleep .. but I want to thank my teammate for having my back and messaging me and calling and making sure I was good .. long long night/day today .. but everything happens for a reason .. that’s why I posted that peace sign last night because you have to stay positive in negative situations .. great win again ! On to the next !”
