Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade has added experience and character to its roster by inking versatile forward John Holland to a one-year deal, the club announced on Tuesday. Holland (1.96 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Frutti Extra Bursaspor, where he averaged 11.4 points on 40.8% three-point shooting and 3.6 rebounds in eight 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He played a key role in helping Bursaspor reach the EuroCup Championship Game, scoring 17 points in the eighthfinals against Partizan NIS Belgrade, 16 in the quarterfinals against Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, and 8 in the semifinals against MoraBanc Andorra.
Zvezda adds forward Holland

Holland started his professional basketball career with French side Chorale Roanne and also played for Cajasol Sevilla of Spain, BCM Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral of France, Besiktas Istanbul of Turkey, Canton and Austin of the G-League, Boston and Cleveland of the NBA, Beijing Dongfang of China, Santeros de Aguada and Cariduros de Fajardo of Puerto Rico, San Miguel Beerman of the Philippines, Hapoel Jerusalem of Israel, and UNICS Kazan of Russia.
He helped Jerusalem win the Israeli Cup title in 2020 and took UNICS to the EuroCup Finals in 2021. Only one other player - Edu Hernandez-Sonseca with Joventut Badalona and Real Madrid in 2007 and 2008 - has played consecutive EuroCup Finals with different squads. Holland is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Zvezda next season. In 69 EuroCup career games with Cajasol, Gravelines, Besiktas, UNICS and Bursaspor, Holland averaged 10.0 points and 2.8 rebounds.
