In 2012, the Reds completed an unthinkable comeback from 19 points down to defeat CSKA Moscow 61-62 on a last-second floater by [Georgios Printezis](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/georgios-printezis/amm/) in the championship game in the Turkish metropolis.

CSKA was considered the favorite as Olympiacos was the younger team with only one former champion on the roster. But the Reds turned out to be the team of destiny.
