• Anadolu Efes and Buducnost fined by the Finance Panel
• Settlement agreements reached with, AS Monaco, Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, FC Barcelona, London Lions and Real Madrid
Acting on a referral by the Euroleague Basketball's Management Control Commission (MCC), the Finance Panel, an independent regulatory body, has issued the following decisions:
- Anadolu Efes has been sanctioned for infringements of the Article 3(e) of the FSFPR that refers to exceeding 65% of the total budgeted expenses of the club on players' remunerations. The sanction also takes into account recidivism, as this marks the club's third infringement, following two previous settlement agreements with the MCC.
- Buducnost VOLI Podgorica has been sanctioned for infringements of Article 3(e) of the FSFPR that refers to exceeding 65% of the total budgeted expenses of the club on players remunerations. The decision is based on on the breach of the previous settlement agreement reached with the MCC.
The Management Control Commission (MCC), an independent commission that reviews the financial performance of the clubs and their compliance with the relevant regulations, has also reached the following settlement agreements:
- A settlement agreement with AS Monaco in breach of Article 3(f) of the EuroLeague Financial Stability and Fair Play Regulations.
- A settlement agreement with Crvena Zvezda Belgrade in breach of Article 3(e) of the EuroLeague Financial Stability and Fair Play Regulations.
- A settlement agreement with FC Barcelona in breach of Article 3(f) of the EuroLeague Financial Stability and Fair Play Regulations.
- A settlement agreement with London Lions in breach of Article 4.3 of the EuroLeague Financial Stability and Fair Play Regulations.
- A settlement agreement with Real Madrid in breach of with Article 3(e) of the EuroLeague Financial Stability and Fair Play Regulations.
All sanctions and settlement agreements refer to the 2022-23 season, except the in the case of London Lions, which refers to the current season.
