Adam Atamna leads ASVEL over Olympiacos, 84-74

U18 LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne finished its performance at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague 2024-25 event in Ulm, Germany, on a high note with an 84-75 victory over U18 Olympiacos on Sunday in the fifth-place game. The result was ASVEL’s second straight win and sees it leave Ulm with two wins from four games.
ASVEL star Adam Atamna poured in 42 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to finish the tournament with an ANGE record scoring average of 33.0 points. Marvyn Wade added 14 points and Melvin Dubuc posted 13 points and 4 steals for the winners. Marios Fylaktakis led the Reds with 18 points, Theodoros Pavlopoulos scored 16 and Georgios Bourneles had 11 in defeat.
Olympiacos battled its way to an 8-point lead midway through the second quarter before Atamna scored half the points and Theo Guedegbe dished 3 assists in a 14-0 ASVEL run. Olympiacos led 46-45 at halftime and a three by Pavlopoulos made it 62-70 with 5 minutes remaining. This time ASVEL reeled off a 22-2 charge in which Dubuc scored 9 to take control for good.
