Barcelona downs NextGen Team, wins Group B

U18 FC Barcelona made it three wins in three games with a convincing 85-59 win over U18 NextGen Team Ulm on Saturday night. Barcelona won Group B and earned a place in Sunday’s first-place game of the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague qualifier in Ulm where it will face U18 Zalgiris Kaunas. On the other hand, NextGen Ulm side will square off against the host U18 ratiopharm Ulm in the battle for third place.
Mathieu Grujicic led the show with 20 points, Abdrahamane Kone scored 12 points, and Arturas Butajevas had 9 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Davi Remagen had 16, and Samu Adler 14 points in defeat.
Barcelona scored the first 11 points of the game, had a 25-11 lead after 10 minutes and used a strong finish to the second quarter to open a 50-27 halftime lead. Barcelona’s win was never in question in the second half.
