The adidas Eurocamp, which brings together some of the top basketball prospects around the world for a three-day event, opens today in Treviso, Italy. After a six-year hiatus, the camp returns to La Ghirada Sports Complex for its 16th edition.
The event is traditionally a showcase for players seeking to impress, among others, NBA personnel ahead of the NBA Draft and scouts from Euroleague Basketball teams. It will feature six teams with players in the 18-22 age group. Among them will be a USA Select team made up of top American prospects, Team Asia with the best young talent from that continent, two Eurocamp select teams, as adidas 3SSB select team and for the first time, the adidas Next Gen Team.
The Next Gen Team is comprised of top 18-and-under European talents who took part in one of the four Euroleague Basketball adidas Next Generation Tournament qualifying events and/or the U18 Next Generation Select Team at the ANGT Finals last month at the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four in Kaunas, Lithuania.
