NextGen Ulm stops Olympiacos, 73-100

U18 NextGen Team Ulm sent a message that echoed all around the tournament by thrashing Olympiacos Piraeus 73-100 in both team's opening game in Group B. Samu Adler led the winners with 16 points. Davi Remagen added 15, Ignas Urbonas had 13 while Giannis Odzebe and Junior Kemm each got 11 for NextGen. Marios Fylaktakis led Olympiacos with 17 points. Georgios Bourneles added 15, Theodoros Pavlopoulos 14 and Evangalos Bouzoulas 10.
Adler struck three times from downtown and Remagen added another three-pointer in a 0-12 run that gave NextGen a 7-21 lead. Bourneles and Bouzoulas brought Olympiacos a bit closer, 20-31, after 10 minutes. Urbonas stepped up for NextGen, getting help from Adler and Odzebe to break the game open, 25-43. Adler and an outstanding Remagen boosted their team's lead to 31-58 at halftime. Ivaylo Skrinski struck from downtown to make it a 31-point game, 35-64, soon after the break. NextGen improved its margin to 45-82 at the end of the third quarter to cruise to a well-deserved win.
