In the 10th edition of the tournament Rytas won its first title after losing the final of 2009 to INSEP. Edvinas Seskus had 17 points for the new champs, Augustinas Jankaitis added 15, Tautvydas Jodelis finished with 12 and Alvydas Zarskus collected 11. James Birsen led the runner-ups with 20 points, Umar Atin finished with 13 and Mehmet Sanli collected 11 points with 14 rebounds. One player that made it to the record books of the NIJT is Jokubas Gintvainis of Rytas won dished 10 assists and by that tied the record for most assists in an NIJT final round tournament set by FMP's Nenad Miljenovic in 2009 against Lietovus Rytas.

The first quarter was still close with Jankaitis scoring around the rim to set the gap on 20-14 before Sanli displayed his abilities to make it 22-20 at the sound of the first buzzer. Jodelis capped a 7-0 run that put Rytas in front by nine points, and his jumper right before the end of the first half pushed Rytas to a 42-31 lead at the end of the first half. If FB-Ulker had any fantasies to move closer the first minutes of the second half were a wake up call. Jankaitis added points around the rim and set the score on 49-33 with less than 17 minutes to play. Low accuracy by FB-Ulker allowed Zarskus to set the gap on 71-51 early in the deciding quarter and despite some long range shots by Birsen there was no hope for his team to complete a comeback.

But the Croatian prospect jumped back on the floor and took over once again. Saric was crowed as the MVP of the tournament as he wrote a triple double in the title game with 19 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in addition to 10 drawn fouls. In the entire 4 games he averaged 20.3 ppg, 12.3 apg and 6.3 apg to reach an index rating of 29.3. This was the first appearance of Zagreb in the final tournament while Zalgiris, who holds the most appearances, will settle for the second spot. The All-Tournemant team, apart from Saric was formed by Guo Ailun of Team China, Mario Hezonja of KK Zagreb, Stefan Popovski-Turanjan of FMP and Ignas Ramasauskas of Zalgiris.

The 2010 edition of the Nike International Junior Tournament presents a new champion on the list as INSEP won the title game against FMP with an 83-73 victory on the main court of the Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy on Sunday afternoon in Paris, France. This is the first participation of INSEP, the French academy for sports, in the competition, and it finished with class on the top spot of the podium. FMP participated in the final game for the 4th time in a row, but will have to settle for the 2nd spot after winning the title back to back in 2008 and 2009. INSEP revenged FMP for the an earlier loss this season in the final game of the Belgrade Nike International Junior Tournament, one of the 4 qualifying games held to set the participating teams in the Final Four event. The winners took over the game late in the first half, and didn't allow FMP to take the lead back throughout the entire 2nd half. FMP, who reached the title game after winning its last two games on the buzzer, didn't perform as good as before and hit only 2 three pointers in 16 attempts to damage its chances to win. Hugo Invernizzi was the top scorer for the new champs with 16 points followed by Livio Jean-Charles and Ulysse Adjagba with 15 points each, while William Howard scored 10. Nenad Miljenovic topped FMP's scoresheet with 20 points and 7 rebounds, Nemanja Bezbradica added 15 and Nikola Jankovic summed his debut performance with 12 points.

Dedovic drew a lot of attention from FMP's defense but still found the space to draw fouls and hit 11 early points, but FMP's team- game and low shooting percentage by AXA kept the margin stable. Both teams struggled from long range connecting only one out of 14 from long range in the first 15 minutes, and AXA suffered more from than. Perez with a big assist to Dedovic followed by an unsportsmanlike foul he drew on a steal made it just a six point game, but Milutinovic and Musli dunked FMP back to hold a 41-31 lead at half time. Perez was in a zone starting the second half, and along with Abdoulaye brought AXA just four points behind. Milutinovic, Subotic and Musli quickly replied as the margin extended to 12. Dedovic with a three pointer set the third quarter score on 59-51 giving AXA more optimism entering the last quarter. Milutinovic combined five points in a row celebrating his team's 16 points difference, 67-51 with big emotions. FMP entered the last five minutes of the game with a 17 point difference, and despite AXA's last-minute efforts, which cut on the margin, the identity of the champs was known ahead of the buzzer.
