Ulm places third after 81-66 victory over NextGen Team

U18 ratiopharm Ulm ascended to the podium with an 81-66 victory over U18 NextGen Team Ulm in the third-place game at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague 2024-25 event in Ulm, Germany. Ulm led from start to finish to complete a 3-1 record at the event.
Niko Jerkic made 6 of 9 three-pointers en route to 24 points for the winners. Endurance Aiyamenkhue posted 18 points and 16 rebounds and Clemens Sokolov and Jervis Scheffs scored 11 points apiece for Ulm. Samu Adler led the NextGen Team with 16 points, Davi Remagen added 14 and Ivaylo Skrinski 12.
Oliver Kullamaee and Jerkic opened the scoring with back-to-back three-pointers and they each hit again from deep in 16-2 start for the hosts. It was 32-19 after 10 minutes and 53-43 at the halftime break. The NextGen Team refused to go away and was within 8 as the fourth quarter got underway. Kemm Junior and Dusan Stankovic further trimmed the gap, which shrunk to 67-64. Baskets by Yanu Slingerland and Scheffs gave Ulm breathing room, ultimately triggering a 10-0 run that put the game on ice.
