Zalgiris beats Ulm to win Group A

U18 Zalgiris Kaunas will play for the trophy at the NextGen EuroLeague Qualifying Tournament in Ulm after beating the host side 58-74 in the final game of Group A. Zalgiris finished with a perfect 3-0 record, while U18 ratiopharm Ulm dropped to 2-1 and will be playing in the third-place game on Sunday.
Dovydas Buika was the only double-digit scorer for the winners with 23 points, and he also pulled down 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Meanwhile, Kajus Mikalauskas scored 9 points along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists, and Maksim Brnovic had 7 points and 9 rebounds in a winning effort. Jervis Scheffs led Ulm with 16 points, Niko Jerkic scored 11, while Oliver Kullamaee and Teo Milicic scored 10 apiece.
Ulm led 25-23 ealry in the second quarter after a three-pointer from Jerkic, but from that point on it was all Zalgiris which finished the half on a 4-17 run, then outscored Ulm 8-24 in the first 9 minutes of the third quarter, opening a 38-64 lead and securing victory.
