The partnership between One Team and BKT went to another level last summer, as the One Team-BKT Legacy Project saw the refurbishment of a basketball court in the Patissia neighborhood in central Athens in mid-June. Ever since then, there have been plenty of big smiles on people's faces.
The Legacy Project is a cooperation between BKT, an Indian multinational company that specializes in the production of Off-Highway tires, and Euroleague Basketball's Corporate Social Responsibility program, One Team, together with its Founding Patron, Turkish Airlines, and with the support of the Athens Municipality through its "Adopt Your City" program . The goal of the One Team-BKT Legacy Project is to improve the lives of youngsters and people in need or at risk of exclusion by providing better facilities to play basketball and learn the life skills that come from the sport's values.
Panathinaikos's Earth session
On December 11, 2023, it was the turn of Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens to grace the court in Patissia. On what was a special day for the club's One Team participants, they took their session to the refurbished outdoor court and were joined by One Team Ambassadors Kostas Sloukas, Kostas Antetokounmpo and Juancho Hernangomez. The Greens' One Team Manager and two coaches were present, too.
