The veteran guard helped Fenerbahce to the crown in their seventh season together
Tribute to the Champs: Marko Guduric

There are two images that will forever represent Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul's victory over AS Monaco in the 2025 EuroLeague Championship Game. And Marko Guduric is at the heart of both of them. The first is Guduric backpedaling with his arms in the air after he drained a three-pointer over the outstretched arms of Daniel Theis to all but seal the win with a minute remaining. The second came a few minutes later when team captain Melih Mahmutoglu, after receiving the EuroLeague Trophy, handed it off to Guduric to allow him the honor of hoisting it for the team.
It was only fitting that Guduric would have such a big role in the championship game given his history with the club. The Serbian scorer first joined Fenerbahce in 2017 and has spent seven seasons there – interrupted only by a stint in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies. He went to three prior Final Fours with the club and all of that experience and the desire to bring joy to the Fenerbahce faithful came pouring out in the second half of the title decider against AS Monaco.
Guduric twice scored go-ahead baskets among his 8 third-quarter points to keep Fenerbahce in the game. When Monaco closed within 5 points late in the fourth quarter, Guduric came through again by drawing a foul, sinking free throws and then sealing the game with his clutch triple. He finished the game with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals to amass an impressive performance index rating of 27, putting together one of his best games of the season under the bright lights in Abu Dhabi to – after nine seasons in Europe’s premier basketball competition – become a EuroLeague champions for the first time.
