He had 4 rebounds, including 3 on the offensive glass, and 1 block, while going scoreless after missing his only field goal attempt.

The long-awaited return for Bolomboy, who suffered a Lisfranc injury on March 13 last season, is a huge boost for Crvena Zvezda for the second part of the EuroLeague season.

Before going down with an injury, the veteran center was arguably Zvezda’s best player last season. His seventh campaign in the competition, he posted 10.3 points and a EuroLeague-best 8.3 rebounds. However, as he did not play more than 50% of the games last season, he did not qualify for the rebounding title.

Zvezda made its EuroLeague postseason return last season as the 10th-placed team, but lost in the first round of the Play-In Showdown in overtime against FC Bayern Munich.

But it had to compete without Bolomboy, as it did the first 22 games this season while the injuries piled up. Zvezda’s frontline not only missed Bolomboy, but also newly signed [Jasiel Rivero](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/jasiel-rivero/011214/) since the season opener, as well as rookie [Ebuka Izundu](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/ebuka-izundu/014029/) for parts of the campaign.

It means coach Sasa Obradovic had to rely on veteran [Donatas Motiejunas](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/donatas-motiejunas/lcz/), and also play forward [Semi Ojeleye](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/semi-ojeleye/011982/) at the five.

It will surely take Bolomboy a bit of time to get into game shape, but the 2019 EuroLeague champion with CSKA Moscow gives a significant boost to Zvezda’s frontcourt as the team sits at 12-10 record going into the double-round week, which will see the Serbian side travel to face AS Monaco and Virtus Bologna.

The 21-year-old finished the game with 17 points on 6-of-9 two-pointers and 5-of-7 free throws, 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and 6 fouls drawn for a PIR of 36, the highest in Round 22. Those 17 boards tied a club single-game record that previously belonged to Rashard Griffith since 2001.

[Sasha Vezenkov](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/sasha-vezenkov/003469/) of Olympiacos Piraeus and [Trent Forrest](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/trent-forrest/013367/) of Kosner Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz each had a PIR of 32. Vezenkov led the Reds to a 66-104 road victory over Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade with 25 points on 6-of-8 two-pointers, 3-of-4 three-pointers and 4-of-4 free throws, adding 7 rebounds and 1 assist. Forrest helped Baskonia beat Anadolu Efes Istanbul 75-89 with 17 points on 4-of-5 two-pointers, 1-of-2 three-pointers and 6-of-6 free throws, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and 4 fouls drawn.

Rounding out the list of top performers this round are [Elijah Bryant](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/elijah-bryant/009846/) of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv and [Mike James](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/mike-james/005985/) of AS Monaco, both with a 27 PIR. Bryant paced Hapoel to a 73-81 win over LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne with 17 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn, while James had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 6 drawn fouls in Monaco’s 87-95 win at Paris Basketball.

Duane Washington of Partizan was this round's top scorer with 28 points. Nadir Hifi of Paris remains the league’s top scorer with 20.3 points per game.

Saliou Niang led all rebounders by pulling down a club-record 17 boards. Olympiacos center Nikola Milutinov is the EuroLeague’s rebounding leader with 7.7 per game.

Baskonia’s Trent Forrest, Codi Miller-McIntyre of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and Thomas Walkup of Olympiacos each dished 7 assists in Round 22. Sylvain Francisco of Zalgiris Kaunas leads the league in this category, averaging 6.9 assists.

Vasilije Micic of Hapoel, Nate Reuvers of Valencia Basket, Jerian Grant of Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens and Marcio Santos of Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv each had 3 steals, the most in this round. Monaco’s Alpha Diallo tops the EuroLeague charts with 1.6 steals per game.

Monaco’s Kevarrius Hayes had 4 blocks, more than any other player in Round 22. Walter Tavares of Real Madrid leads the league with 1.9 blocks per game.

When it comes to El Clásico, predicting the winner is rarely straightforward. Real Madrid beat Barca 92-101 in Round 3 of the regular season. Then, after Barcelona changed coaches, Xavi Pascual returned to Madrid and watched his team top *Los Blancos* 100-105 in a road win in the Spanish League earlier this month. This time, the script flipped completely.

Sergio Scariolo's men delivered an emphatic 80-61 victory at Movistar Arena on Friday night, producing arguably their best defensive performance of the season. [Usman Garuba](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/usman-garuba/007630/) was everywhere, anchoring the effort and delivering a near-perfect night for Real Madrid.

Ahead of this Round 22 matchup, Coach Scariolo spoke to the media on Thursday and made his team's priorities clear: defend and rebound.

“Our need to play defense is obvious and, above all, rebound,” Scariolo said. “In Barcelona, we got 14 or 15 more rebounds than them and won. Here, in a Spanish League game, they got 14 or 15 more rebounds than us and won. That has always been the key in these games.”

Once again, he was right.

Real Madrid dominated the glass and turned that control into separation. *Los Blancos* outrebounded Barca 30-19 through three quarters, building a 63-47 lead. The defensive pressure only intensified in the fourth, when Barcelona finished with zero assists and six turnovers.

By the final horn, Real had 21 assists against 14 turnovers. Barca managed a season-low 9 assists while coughing the ball up 15 times. [Kevin Punter](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/kevin-punter/009862/), Barcelona’s leading scorer, was held to just 3 points on 0-of-6 shooting.

“We controlled the rebounds, and that seems to be the key in this kind of matchup,” Scariolo said afterward. “We did a great job against their main scorers and first options. From those stops and rebounds, we were able to run and control the game.”

Then came the praise for his X-factor.

“Garuba is playing well since we clarified roles,” Scariolo said. “He gives us a different way of playing, especially defensively. He allows us to guard the pick-and-roll differently than [Edy \[Tavares\]](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/walter-tavares/005791/). He’s in a good place, and hopefully he keeps improving.”

Garuba energized the crowd with his intensity, hustle, and physicality – and the box score backed it up. He finished with season highs of 16 points and a 19 performance index rating, missing just one shot and knocking down two three-pointers.

He also drew one of the loudest ovations of the night when he chased a loose ball into the stands late in the third quarter. His grin as he climbed back onto the floor said it all: the game was already decided.

“It was a really tough game against a really good team,” Garuba said. “We’re fighting to keep climbing in the standings, and this was a great win for us. There are a lot of teams competing for home-court advantage, and we have to keep building.”

The blowout win capped an emotional night in Madrid. Before tipoff, Tavares was honored for becoming the EuroLeague’s all-time leading rebounder. He added 6 more boards to that total, along with 11 points and 2 blocks, posting a 20 PIR in fewer than 21 minutes.

[Recently retired Fabien Causeur](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/news/fabien-causeur-a-two-time-euroleague-champ-announces-his-retirement/) was also courtside, and Real Madrid's fans gave the two-time EuroLeague champion a standing ovation. Causeur spent seven seasons with the club, winning EuroLeague titles in 2018 and 2023.

On the floor, [Gabriel Deck](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/gabriel-deck/009005/) hit all four of his three-point attempts to score 12 points, while [Mario Hezonja](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/mario-hezonja/003108/) added 12 against his former team.

Barcelona entered the game averaging 87.7 points, shooting 38.4 percent from three, and grabbing 12 offensive rebounds per game. Real held them to season lows across the board: 61 points, 22.2 percent from deep, and just 8 offensive boards.

“It was a surprising game,” Coach Pascual said in his postgame comments. “We practiced well and were playing at a good level, but today everything went wrong. We didn’t control the rebounds, we missed free throws, and we didn’t shoot well. Real played with much better physicality from the beginning.”

ASVEL, which dropped to 6-16, led 38-31 at halftime and then 45-33 early in the third quarter, with Hapoel missing its opening eight shots from downtown and struggling on offense against a physical French outfit whose aggressive defense paid dividends for long spells.

Having conjured a 15-2 run to take a double-digit lead, the hosts then saw their offense gradually grind to a halt while Hapoel started firing on all cylinders at the other end, as player of the game [Elijah Bryant](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/elijah-bryant/009846/) and [Dan Oturu](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/dan-oturu/012788/) came up big when it mattered for the visiting team.

A clinical 7-of-8 from the floor coupled with 4-of-5 from the line saw Oturu rack up a game-high 18 points and 7 boards. Hapoel finished on 3-of-15 from downtown but two of those clutch three-pointers came in quick succession when the chips were down and the visitors were on the ascendancy.

The aggressive approach saw both sides commit more turnovers than assists as the manner of Hapoel’s victory was by no means pretty, but the visiting team’s industrious and highly efficient approach once again ground out a result which had head coach Dimitris Itoudis heaping praise on his men. 

“Congratulations to my team. We had to change things drastically at halftime as we wanted to be precise on what we were doing offensively,” the Greek tactician said in his postgame comments. “We never lost faith in what we were doing as a team even though we were down by 12. The team reacted and I appreciate that.”

The effervescent Bryant did the lion’s share of his talking on the court and acknowledged postgame that Hapoel was forced to dig deep to turn the tide, as ASVEL looked capable of staging an upset for three and a half quarters of the rugged matchup. 

“We got stops in the second half against a very talented ASVEL team,” said Bryant. ”Our defense set the tone and we now have to focus on getting better every single day.”

[Glynn Watson](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/glynn-watson/014013/) paced ASVEL on 17 points and [Shaquille Harrison](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/shaquille-harrison/013371/) added 14, but the home team didn’t have enough left in the tank for a grueling climax to the game as Hapoel closed shop. The French side’s head coach Pierric Poupet was disappointed but also proud of his men’s die-hard attitude which kept Hapoel in check for much of the contest.

“They were better than us and showed more talent in the end,” Poupet said. “It’s killing us to lose like this hut overall we showed a lot of good things, so heads up and keep working for the next game coming up.”

Nando De Colo looked right at home on his second Fenerbahce debut, as the reigning EuroLeague champions secured an important win against a Valencia side that threatened to pull off a late comeback.

[Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/teams/fenerbahce-beko-istanbul/ulk/) made sure everyone remembered who the defending EuroLeague champion is Friday night. 

Welcoming [Valencia Basket](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/teams/valencia-basket/pam/), one of four teams entering the week with 14 victories, Fenerbahce put on display one of its best performances of the season in the first half and controlled the game until the final two minutes, holding off the visitors for an 82-79 win.

“I enjoyed a lot how we played the first 20 minutes,” coach Sarunas Jasikevicius said after the game. “We played excellent basketball. We were patient, we knew exactly what we wanted to do.”

Valencia’s shiny offense, which entered the game averaging 90.1 points, made five triples in the opening 4:53 minutes of the game. But Fenerbahce stuck to its title-winning ways, opening the contest by making nine two-pointers on as many attempts to take control.

But Fenerbahce did not win this game with its offense. No, it did so with its defense.

When Valencia caught up in the second quarter, the champs turned on its half-court defense, holding the visitors to nearly 7 minutes without a field goal, putting together a 14-1 run to open a 44-31 lead that they never relinquished.

And only thanks to its offensive surge in the final 2 minutes, during which it scored 12 points, with 10 coming from [Jean Montero](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/en/euroleague/players/jean-montero/010042/), the visitors finished with a respectable 79 points. But that is still their second-lowest total of the season, and the fewest points they've scored in a road game this season.

And while the final 2 minutes proved how dangerous Valencia truly is, it is also clear that before that late-game lapse, Fenerbahce’s win was never really in doubt.

Part of the secret was Fenerbahce never rushing. The team was not forcing three-point shots, shooting just nine three-point attempts in the first half. Rather, it preferred to attack inside, often late in the shot clock. It was all part of the game plan that tried to slow the tempo down, and Fenerbahce mostly succeeded in it.

“We respected the game plan, we ran when we had an opportunity to run, but we were patient when we had to be. I think this made the difference”, said [Nando De Colo](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nando-de-colo/002100/), who made his second Fenerbahce debut and looked right at home with a team-high 16 points.

“It wasn’t perfect all the time, but we know Valencia is a talented team. We stayed focused and deserved to win tonight.”

De Colo seemed to fit perfectly into Fenerbahce’s backcourt, and stepped up down the stretch when he shared the floor with four new teammates, all players who played key roles at the 2025 Final Four – [Wade Baldwin](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/wade-baldwin-iv/009863/), [Devon Hall](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/devon-hall/011205/), [Nicolo Melli](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/nicolo-melli/002849/) and [Khem Birch](https://www.euroleaguebasketball.net/euroleague/players/khem-birch/007182/).

The use of that lineup also speaks of the lessons Fenerbahce learned, and the importance this game had.

Because this Fenerbahce team, which has now won 11 of its last 13 games, looks more like the championship-winning side from last season, instead of the one that suffered a thrashing against Valencia in late October. That night, the champs lost by 15 but were down by as many as 24 points as Valencia led from start to finish.

Also, this Fenerbahce showed a ton of respect to Valencia, a team that has already beaten the likes of Olympiacos Piraeus, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens and Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade on the road this season.

And to their credit, Valencia certainly displayed how dangerous it is, too. Even in a loss, coach Pedro Martinez's men showed that they are the real deal, as they rallied and even had two shots to tie the game in the final 20 seconds.

Coach Jasikevicius will point out that there is a big difference in the performance of his players, especially offensively, from the first to second half, and he'll be aware that those ups and downs need to be minimized going forward. A good 20 minutes of basketball will not be enough to achieve what he and this team have set out to achieve.

“We need to be happy we beat such a good team like Valencia,” he said. “They are playing great basketball. But the next game we have to try to play 23 or 24 good minutes. Until we come to the end of the season, hopefully it is longer than that, because if you want to do something you need to play good for long periods of time.”

On the night Nando De Colo made his second Fenerbahce debut, the defending champions held off the visiting Valencia 82-79 to register their 11th win in the last 13 games. Both teams now hold a 14-8 record, but Valencia does hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the reigning champions. 

Fenerbahce pulled away to a double-digit lead behind its defense and a 14-1 second-quarter run, and it had the game in control until the final 2 minutes. That’s when Jean Montero strung together 10 points to get the visitors within 80-77, before Montero’s steal gave Valencia a chance to tie the game. But his three-point attempt was blocked by Wade Baldwin, then a triple from Nate Reuvers was also missed as Fenerbahce prevailed. 

The hosts had six players score in double figures, with De Colo pacing the team on 16 points. Nicolo Melli had 12 points, while Wade Baldwin and Brandon Boston netted 11 apiece. Reuvers posted 17 points for Valencia, Montero finished with 14, while Kam Taylor and Jaime Pradilla scored 13 each in the loss.

Hapoel overcame dreadful shooting from deep in the first half and wiped out a 12-point deficit early in the second to defeat ASVEL 73-81 and reclaim top spot in the standings, having improved to 15-6. ASVEL drooped to 6-16 after its third straight loss. Hapoel trailed 45-33 early in the third quarter and missed its opening eight attempts from long range but found its rhythm when the chips were down and prevailed thanks to ironclad defense which saw the visitors pull away to 70-77 in the home straight. The Israeli side finished 3-of-15 from downtown and committed 17 turnovers against 16 assists but also shot 28-of-42 from inside as big man Dan Oturu enjoyed a rampant second half, amassing 18 points and 7 boards.

Elijah Bryant chipped in with 17 points, Chris Jones scored 12 and Johnathan Motley added 10 for Hapoel. ASVEL sank a relatively decent 10-of-33 from deep but committed 19 turnovers having dished out 18 assists, struggling to make shots down the stretch as Hapoel’s deeper roster made the difference. Glynn Watson paced the home team on 17 points as Shaquille Harrison netted 14 and Melvin Ajinca scored 12.

Real Madrid confirmed its good form by downing archrival FC Barcelona 80-61 in the Spanish capital in Round 22 on Friday. Real improved to 14-8 and is on a four-game winning streak, while it grabbed its sixth consecutive home victory and now has a 2-0 record against Barca, which dropped to 14-8. Real won all four quarters and held Barca to its lowest score in this EuroLeague season.

Usman Garuba led the winners with 16 points on 4-of-5 two-pointers and 2-of-2 three-pointers. Mario Hezonja and Gaby Deck each added 12 while Edy Tavares had 11 for Real. Deck buried all of his four shots from beyond the arc. Dario Brizuela led Barca with 13 points. Nico Laprovittola had 12 while Toko Shengelia added 10 for the guests. Real managed to hold Barca's leading scorer Kevin Punter to just three points, all of them from the foul line. Real led 43-31 at halftime, boosted its margin to 63-47 at the end of the third quarter and had plenty of time to celebrate a very important win in front of its fans.

Virtus did just about enough to earn a crucial 72-80 victory over Dubai on Thursday at Coca-Cola Arena. The win moved the Italian side to 11-11 with its third road win of the season. Dubai suffered its second home loss of the campaign, as it slipped to 10-12.

The teams traded runs for most of the first three quarters, with Coach Dusko Ivanovic’s men heading into the final quarter ahead by 7. Dubai put together a valiant comeback effort, but turnovers hurt the home side and big shots from Carsen Edwards decided the game on the other side of the floor.

Saliou Niang played the starring role for the visitors with 17 points and 17 rebounds - the latter number marking a career-high and matching the club record. Edwards finished with 21 points and 4 dishes and Derrick Alston Jr. contributed 12 points. Aleksa Avramovic led the way in scoring for Dubai with  17.

Rodions Kurucs led the winners with 18 points on 4 of 4 three-point shooting. Trent Forrest added 17, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot scored 15 and Kobi Simmons had 14 for Baskonia, which buried 25 of 27 free throws (92.6%). Jordan Loyd paced Efes with 12 points, Isaia Cordinier added 11 and Rolands Smits had 10 for Efes, which led 59-58 at the end of the third quarter. Kurucs led a 0-7 run to put Baskonia in charge for good, 59-65. Luwawu-Cabarrot scored 10 points in the last 6 minutes to make sure that Baskonia returned to Vitoria-Gasteiz with a road victory.

Panathinaikos has dropped three of the last four games for a 13-9 record. Cedi Osman led the way with 20 points and Jerian Grant had 17 points while Kostas Sloukas dished out 5 assists to join Nick Calathes as the only players to reach the 2,000 assist mark in EuroLeague history.

Maccabi opened a double-digit lead in the third quarter, but Zalgiris fought back in the closing stages, with a Sylvain Francisco triple bringing the visitors within 99-97 with 7 seconds to go. Jimmy Clark split his free throws on the other end, but Azuolas Tubelis's misplaced inbounds pass proved costly for the Lithuanian side.

Having put an end to its three-game losing slide, Maccabi improved its record to 9-13. Meanwhile, Zalgiris suffered its second straight defeat on the road, dropping to 12-10. Jimmy Clark, Roman Sorkin and TJ Leaf paced the hosts with 17 points each, while Iffe Lundberg bagged 13. Francisco led all scorers with 22 points and Moses Wright paired his 17 points with 11 rebounds in defeat.

Codi Miller-McIntyre racked up 15 points, 8 boards and 7 assists and Nikola Kalinic also served up a big all round performance in the second half to finish on 10 points, 5 boards, 2 steals and as many blocks. Olympiacos grabbed its fifth win in six games by thrashing Partizan 66-104 on Wednesday night at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall. An exchange of blows in the first quarter was followed by a 0-12 run to end the second, as the visitors grabbed a 30-52 lead at halftime. The Reds didn’t take their foot off the gas, held Partizan to just 13 points in the third quarter and practically finished the game off.

Having grabbed the second largest road victory in club history, Olympiacos improved its record to 13-8. Meanwhile, bottom-placed Partizan suffered its seventh straight loss and dropped to 6-16.

Sasha Vezenkov paced the visitors with 25 points, having gone 9-for-12 from the field. Thomas Walkup, Tyler Dorsey, Alec Peters, Nikola Milutinov and Donta Hall netted 12 each. Partizan's Duane Washington went 10-for-15 from the field, ending the game on a career-high 28 points.

They punish almost any mistake you make. So it feels like if we want to win, we’ll have to score – and do so efficiently on offense. But you never know. Sometimes games get bogged down because you have one bad quarter, and that alone brings the scoring down. Against Partizan at home we finished with 88 points because we scored only 13 in the first quarter. Once you have a quarter like that, you’re not getting to 90. It depends on things like that. Maybe there’s a quarter where neither team really gets going. But in general, it looks like the game should be in the 90–100 point range.

"\[Edy\] Tavares, \[Facundo\] Campazzo, \[Mario\] Hezonja and \[Trey\] Lyles all create so many mismatches that it’s hard to single out just one, but without a doubt Tavares is a player who impacts everything, both defensively and offensively. Him, Campazzo, and then Mario Hezonja along with Lyles are probably the four main scorers. But if you lose focus one day, \[Theo\] Maledon can hurt you, or \[Sergio\] Llull can come in and light it up, or any other player. We’re talking about a true top-tier team, a very deep roster, with all players fully usable – and, as far as I know, all healthy. So we have to be ready for anything. Still, Tavares is a game-changing player."

"We’re feeling good. We had the whole week to prepare, and we were able to rest a little on Monday, so I think we’re ready. I’ve already played in a lot of these games, but it’s always special. Of course, we have great respect for Baskonia, but we have to show where we stand as a team. “It’s a very tough game. Zalgiris is a team that knows exactly what it’s doing, with dominant big men — a very challenging matchup. We need to do something extraordinary to close the gap, and we have many difficult road games ahead. We saw Zalgiris win here against Hapoel Tel Aviv, so even home games are not easy. We will have to come in extremely well-prepared tactically.”

"We played very poorly in the first game against Maccabi, and we hope this one will be much better. Nothing worked for us offensively—we missed a lot of shots. On defense, in the second quarter, we let Lonnie Walker get going, and he created separation. It was hard to rewatch that game. We expect a much better performance from our side."

"I remember that we couldn’t make shots, that Lonnie Walker had a really strong stretch and took over the game. I think since then both we and they have improved, so we’re expecting a very good game. Of course, every player and the coaching staff wants to win that second meeting—we don’t want to lose both games. “One of their leaders is Lonnie Walker. They also have a solid power forward who can defend against our guards—he’s very athletic. Their bigs are mobile—they can drive and shoot, so there will definitely be plenty to deal with."

"\[The key is\] defense. We can’t play below our standards. Those standards were giving us results. That has dropped off. I warned that we were struggling with a shortened rotation. There’s no time for excuses anymore. From now on, every game is a playoff game for us."

"Nothing in the EuroLeague is easy, but we can’t feel sorry for ourselves. We have to be men, grow up, move on to the next game, and play the right way. Milan is an excellent team—Zach LeDay is incredible, top five at his position. Shavon Shields is a player who isn’t talked about enough; he can score 20, 25, 30 points in any game. They have great players. On paper, they’re a very strong team, they’ve had some big wins, and we have to be ready for them."

"This year, we want to win everything, and we have to show that in every game—especially in matchups like this in the EuroLeague. Over time, we’ve managed to play together as a tight-knit group that really shares the ball, with a lot of trust in one another. We’re hungry, and the chemistry between us is coming together. That makes us want to accomplish something special this season. Paris is still playing with part of its identity from last season. There have been a lot of changes, and they’ve lost some shared experience, so there’s very little margin for error. As for what to do when Nadir \[Hifi\] gets hot—you let him have his moment, but you do everything you can to make him uncomfortable, force him to give up the ball, and create bad reads.

### Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade vs. Olympiacos Piraeus (19:30 CET)

**Joan Penarroya, Partizan head coach**

"We need to put together a strong performance. Olympiacos has been one of the top teams in recent years, and this season they’re among the favorites to win the EuroLeague. They’re led by an excellent coach, have quality players, and they’re active on both ends of the floor. We’ll need to play at a very high level for all 40 minutes if we want to compete with them."

**Cam Payne, Partizan guard**

"I know they’re a very good team and that they’re playing really well. We’ll need to come out aggressive from the start and try to find a way to win the game."

**Georgios Bartzokas, Olympiacos head coach**

"Partizan are weakened based on their position in the standings; if you look at their roster and quality, you wonder how that’s possible. They are a team that shows it is not cohesive—when a situation develops that is not pleasant for them, they let it go. They have talent, a good coach, and the games are especially tough in Belgrade. We are not expecting anything different from a difficult match. I wouldn’t like to give a percentage regarding our level of readiness. Morris is absent and Jones cannot play in this game; the others are available. We have a good roster, Ward has returned, and McKissic is included in the squad. We are having good practices and playing well lately; if we continue our upward trajectory, we will be a tough opponent for anyone."

"It’s never easy to play at Partizan’s home court. Last year, when I played there, it was the loudest arena I have ever played in. It was a very tough atmosphere and an intense game. We are expecting a difficult battle. They have made some changes and we’ll see."
