ALBA Berlin announced that it has signed German national team big man Oscar da Silva to a three-year deal. da Silva (2.06 meters, 23 years old) finished last season with MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg, for which he posted 6.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 17 games between the regular season and the playoffs. Before that he played four seasons at college basketball at Stanford University. He averaged 18.8 points and 6.8 rebounds as a senior last season before joining Ludwigsburg at the end of the college season. He was named to the Pac-12 Conference first team in both 2020 and 2021 and to the all-defensive team in 2021. A native of Munich, de Silva has played for Germany at multiple youth categories, too.
