Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade
Founded in 1945, Partizan started to make noise in European competitions when Dragan Kicanovic and Drazen Dalipagic led the club to Korac Cup glory in 1978 and 1979. Vlade Divac and Zarko Paspalj helped Partizan reach the 1988 EuroLeague Final Four and lift the 1989 Korac Cup. In 1992, Partizan won the club's first – and, to date, only – EuroLeague crown. With Zeljko Obradovic on the bench, it downed Joventut Badaona 70-71 on a miraculous three-pointer by Sasha Djordjevic. Partizan returned to the EuroLeague Final Four in 1998, but it lost in the semifinals against eventual champion Kinder Bologna. The club continued developing players while dominating domestically, and with a fan base that treats basketball like a religion, Partizan kept growing. In 2010, in its third consecutive EuroLeague playoff appearance, Partizan ousted Maccabi Tel Aviv to reach the Final Four, where it lost against Olympiacos Piraeus after overtime in the semis. A slow decline ensued, resulting in a rare title dry spell. The return of Obradovic to the bench in the summer of 2021 changed things, turning Partizan games into must-see events. Partizan reached the EuroLeague Playoffs and won the ABA League in 2023 for its first major trophy in a decade. In each of the past two seasons, Coach Obradovic's men narrowly missed the playoffs, but won ABA League and Serbian championships, as Partizan remains on a mission to recapture its former glory.
