Anadolu Efes Istanbul 87-77 Zalgiris Kaunas
Efes sailed into the EuroLeague Playoffs after an 87-77 home win over Zalgiris lifted the former back-to-back champs to a 20-14 record, following an eighth straight victory. Jordan Nwora and Shane Larkin paced Efes on 13 points each, Roland Smits added 11, while PJ Dozier and Ercan Osmani chipped in with 10 apiece. At the other end, Sylvain Francisco and Edgaras Ulanovas led Zalgiris with 12 points each and Ignas Brazdeikis scored 11. Isaiah Wong, Laurynas Birutis and Deividas Sirvydis sank 10 points apiece for the visitors.
Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens 111-104 Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade
Panathinaikos overcame Crvena Zvezda 111-104 in a thrilling overtime battle in the Greek capital. A high-scoring first half was edged by Zvezda for a 47-49 interval lead. It stayed close right until the final possession, which Zvezda couldn’t convert to win it in regulation, and Panathinaikos controlled the extra five minutes. Kendrick Nunn paced the home team with 31 points and 10 assists, as Juancho Hernangomez also bagged a double-double 18 points and 11 rebounds. Wenyen Gabriel scored 8 of his 16 points in overtime, while Jerian Grant scored 12 and Omer Yurtseven netted 11. Codi Miller-McIntyre powered Zvezda with 26 points, while former Green Nemanja Nedovic added 22, Filip Petrusev scored 16 and Luka Mitrovic had 13.
FC Barcelona 91-87 Virtus Segafredo Bologna
Barcelona held off the visiting Virtus in Round 34, pulling out a 91-87 win to clinch fifth place at the end of the regular season. Barcelona finished with a 20-14 record, the same as Efes and Real Madrid, but it wins out in the three-team tiebreaker due to its superior head-to-head record. Barcelona trailed by 5 points late in the fourth quarter and 85-87 in the penultimate minute, but Jabari Parker and Joel Parker scored key close-range buckets, while Kevin Punter and Jan Vesely came up with huge defensive plays to help Barcelona win the game. The hosts had six scorers in double digits, led by Punter’s 20 points. Justin Anderson had 12, while Tomas Satoransky collected 11 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Parra, Parker and Dario Brizuela scored 10 points apiece in the win. Tornike Shengelia scored 17 points, Justin Holiday had 16, and Will Clyburn netted 15 in defeat. Ante Zizic had 12 points and Isaia Cordinier netted 11 for Virtus.

LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 78-83 AS Monaco
Monaco survived a stern test from ASVEL at Astroballe and pulled away in the final minutes to clinch fourth place at the end of the regular season and with it home-court advantage in the playoffs. Monaco improved to 21-13 on the season, while ASVEL bowed out of the competition for 2024-25 in 15th place with a 13-21 mark. Mike James paced the winners with 20 points, including 3 go-ahead free throws with 57 seconds to play, and 7 assists. Jordan Loyd added 16 points and 6 rebounds for Monaco. Neal Sako (20 points, 11 rebounds) and Andre Roberson (14 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks) stood out for ASVEL.
FC Bayern Munich 77-89 Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul
Fenerbahce has locked up the No. 2 seed in the EuroLeague Playoffs after beating Bayern 77-89 at SAP Garden, with this result ending the German team’s top-six hopes and ensuring it will be playing in the Play-In Showdown, although its final position is not yet determined. Nigel Hayes-Davis was Fenerbahce’s leading scorer with 24 points, followed by Errick McCollum, Wade Baldwin, Nicolo Melli and Tarik Biberovic, who all netted 11 points apiece. Bayern’s Carsen Edwards poured in a game-high 26 points, with Devin Booker adding 15 points.
Olympiacos Piraeus 99-93 Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv
Olympiacos has mathematically secured top spot in the 2024-25 EuroLeague standings after beating Maccabi 99-93 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Thursday night. In a highly entertaining encounter, the hosts saw four of their players net at least 17 points each and register as many as 30 assists to down the Israeli side. Olympiacos improved its record to 24-10, with Maccabi dropping to 11-23. Evan Fournier led all scorers with 27 points, Sasha Vezenkov scored 21, Moses Wright netted 18 and Alec Peters added 17. Nigel Williams-Goss scored just 2 points, but he had a career-high 13 assists. Trevion Williams paced Maccabi with 17 points and 13 rebounds, with Rokas Jokubaitis and Roman Sorkin bagging 16 points apiece. Jimmy Clark recorded 11 points in a losing effort.
Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade 89-91 Real Madrid
Real Madrid kept alive its hopes of squeezing into the playoffs with a last-gasp win at Partizan after big man Walter Tavares sank a delightful turnaround floater on the buzzer. Tavares was instrumental in Real’s win as he racked up 14 points and 6 boards, for the visitors, while Facundo Campazzo posted 12 points and 7 assists. At the other end, big man Brandon Davies led all scorers on 22 points while Carlik Jones registered 15 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds for Partizan. Real improved to 20-24 after closing out its regular season campaign with a sixth successive win and its seventh in a row over Partizan. The Serbian side finished the season with a 16-18 record.
EA7 Emporio Armani Milan 111-89 Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz
Milan finished its EuroLeague season in style, blowing past Baskonia. The Italian champs finished the season with a 17-17 record, while Baskonia’s record is 14-20. Milan had no turnovers in the first half during which Nikola Mirotic and Zach LeDay combined for 29 points. The hosts led 62-35 at the break, then continued to pour it on in the second half, too. When all was said and done, LeDay had 32 points, one shy of his career high and Mirotic had 23 points and 10 rebounds for Milan which shot 17-for-30 from long range. Luka Samanic collected 17 points and 7 rebounds for Baskonia.
Paris Basketball 72-63 ALBA Berlin
Paris did its part to remain in the race for a direct spot in the playoffs with a convincing 72-63 home victory over ALBA. Paris went on a 15-4 run spanning the middle quarters to take control and improve to 19-15. The win combined with Fenerbahce's triumph at Bayern kept alive the sixth-place dreams of Paris, which needs Efes, Barcelona and Crvena Zvezda to all lose on the final day of the regular season. Mikael Jantunen and Nadir Hifi led the way for the winners with 15 points each, Tyson Ward scored 12 points and TJ Shorts chipped in 10 points and 7 assists. ALBA dropped its fifth straight game and ninth of the last 10 games for a 5-29 record. Justin Bean picked up 14 in the defeat.
