The veteran guard returns for his eighth EuroCup season
Cluj-Napoca re-signs guard DJ Seeley
Just days before the start of the 2023-24 season, U-BT Cluj-Napoca gave its backcourt a major boost by re-signing DJ Seeley, the club announced Thursday. Seeley (1.93 meters, 34 years old) is a veteran of seven EuroCup seasons, and has led Cluj to the EuroCup quarterfinals last season by averaging 14.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
For veteran combo guard Cluj is the sixth different club he has played for in the EuroCup. Before arriving to Cluj last summer, Seeley has played 84 games for Radnicki of Serbia, Besiktas Istanbul of Turkey, Gran Canaria of Spain, Rytas of Lithuania and Buducnost of Montenegro. He enters the season with 1,121 points, 137 three-pointers and 230 assists in 101 career appearances. He has also played three seasons in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, one with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and a pair with FC Bayern Munich.
Seeley has also played professionally for BBC Bayreuth in Germany, the Delaware 87ers in the G-League, Manresa and Zaragoza in Spain and Gravelines in France.
