Cournooh sets career-high in scoring

David Cournooh scored more than double his season average with a career-high 16 points plus 3 assists in Germani Brescia’s 85-75 victory over Joventut Badalona on Tuesday. The 32-year-old guard also led his team with a plus/minus of +15. Entering the game, Cournooh was averaging 7.2 points and 1.7 assists per game. It’s been a hot and cold season for Cournooh who has four games with at least 14 points and six games with 5 or fewer. Brescia is 3-1 when he has scored in double figures.

Taskiran shatters career marks

Frutti Extra Bursaspor was on fire against Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana on Wednesday, setting or tying three club single-game records, and seldom-used guard Enes Taskiran joined in on all the fun. Taskiran played 17 minutes and posted his career highs with 18 points, 4 three-pointers made and a PIR of 14. He had at least 1 three-pointer in each of the last three quarters of the game. Interestingly, in his previous 15 appearances over three seasons dating back to 2014-15 season, Taskiran scored a total of 19 points, made just 1 three-pointer and never had a PIR better than 14.

Tessitori helps Reyer's inside dominance

Big man Amedeo Tessitori won the 7DAYS EuroCup title last season, and his Round 10 performance against ratiopharm Ulm is just what Umana Reyer Venice was hoping it is getting when it brought him aboard this past summer. Reyer dominated inside in its 20-point win, and Tessitori had a large role in it. The 28-year old big man tied his career high in with 15 points, making 5 of 9 two-pointers and 1 of 2 threes. Tessitori also pulled down a personal-best 9 rebounds and posted a career-high PIR of 22.

Mutaf's night in Wroclaw

After 10 rounds, Gran Canaria is the EuroCup team with the best record, 8-2. In its latest win, the team's scoring production came from the unlikeliest of sources as 20-year old David Mutaf used his first career start to not only shatter several of his career-highs, but also lead Gran Canaria in scoring on the night with 19 points. Mutaf was 5-for-8 from three-point range after netting just 3 triples in his previous 7 appearances dating back to last season. Against Slask on Wednesday, Mutaf also dishes his first 3 assists and picked up his first 3 steals in the competition. After quite a night from Mutaf, Gran Canaria fans hope it is just the beginning for the young swingman from Turkey.

Agada orchestrated Prometey's win

Prometey Slobozhanske continued its winning run into the new calendar year, and its 72-80 triumph at 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys came with leadership from playmaker Caleb Agada. In his 28 minutes on the floor, Agada not only co-led all the scorers in the game with 19 points, but also dished a personal-best 9 assists, tying him tied for the most assists in Round 10. Agada posted a PIR of 27, another best in his first season in the competition, leading the team to its third straight win.
