Gran Canaria pens deal with sharpshooter Caleb Homesley
Dreamland Gran Canaria has signed swingman Caleb Homesley for the coming season, the club announced on Saturday. Homesley (1.98 meters, 27 years old) returns to the BKT EuroCup after two seasons away. Last season he averaged 16.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 25 games in the Turkish League and 13.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in the Basketball Champions League.
Homesley was an All-EuroCup Second Team selection in his first season in the competition with Hamburg Towers. He finished fourth in the 2021-22 EuroCup in scoring with 17.4 points per game. He led all players in three-point shots made (3.4 per game) and attempted (8.6 per game) in shooting 38.8% behind the arc and added a team-high 4.3 assists per game. Homesley began his professional career with Erie of the G League and has also played for Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia.
