Hapoel Tel Aviv, Yonatan Rabinowitz stay together
Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv and homegrown guard Yonatan Rabinowitz will remain together for another season, the club announced on Thursday. Rabinowitz (1.88 meters, 26 years old) scored 2 points, dished 2 assists and grabbed 2 steals in 15 minutes divided over six EuroCup games last season as Hapoel reached the quarterfinals. He also averaged 1.2 points and 0.5 assists in 17 games in the Israeli League.
Rabinowitz came through the Hapoel system and was a captain of its youth category teams. He made his professional debut there in the 2015-16 season as a 17-year-old. He later played for Ramat Hasharon, Hapoel Saba/Shalom, Maccabi Hod Hasharon, Elitzur Kiryat Ata and Maccabi Ma'ale Adumim, all Israeli lower division teams. In 2022, Rabinowitz went abroad to play for Flyers Wels and later Dukes Klostenburg, both in Austria.
Rabinowitz has also been a member of the Israeli youth national teams and won a silver medal at the U20 European championships in 2017.
