The Ukrainian center returns to the EuroCup after two seasons away

Joventut Badalona bolstered its frontcourt by signing center Artem Pustovyi for the coming season, the club announced Tuesday. Pustovyi (2.19 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Satria Muda, where he averaged 16.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in five Indonesian League games last season. He started the 2023-24 campaign with Monbus Obradoiro and averaged 13.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 34 Spanish League games. It was his second stint with the team, after playing for Obradoiro from 2015 to 2019.
Pustovyi started his career with Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny of his native Ukraine and also played for FC Barcelona, Dreamland Gran Canaria and UCAM Murcia of Spain, as well as for Shabab Al Ahil Dubai of the United Arab Emirates. He is a member of the Ukrainian national team. Pustovyi helped Khimik win the Ukrainian League championship in 2015 and helped Barca get the Spanish League and Cup double and reach the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Championship Game in 2021. In 33 EuroCup career games with Khimik and Gran Canaria, Pustovyi has averaged 6.5 points and 3.6 rebounds.
