7bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys has its first summer addition to roster, signing Dovis Bickauskis to a one-year deal for an option for another season. Bickauskis (29 years old) arrives from a fellow Lithuanian team Jonava, which Lietkabelis beat in the third-place playoff series last season. Bickauskis posted 11.2 points, 3.7 assists, 2.6 rebounds and ranked second in the league with 2.3 steals.
Bickauskis now returns to the EuroCup where he made his debut in 2019-20 season with Rytas Vilnius. That season he appeared in 16 games, with three starts, and posted 3.7 points, 2.4 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 16:39 on the floor.
He spent great majority of his career in his native Lithuania. He started playing professionally as a teenager in Lithuanian lower divisions, and changed half dozen teams before got to the Lithuanian elite level with Juventus Utena in 2016. He spent three seasons there, then two year with Rytas Vilnius. In the 2020-21 campaign, he played with CSU Oradea in Romania, his only season outside Lithuania, before returning to his native land with Jonava last season. Bickauskis had his debut with the Lithuanian national team in 2019.
