McKinley Wright renews at Buducnost
Buducnost VOLI Podgorica has confirmed that guard McKinley Wright has renewed his contract at the club for the coming season. Wright (1.80 meters, 25 years old) joined Buducnost last summer and went on to average 11.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and an 11.9 PIR in 18 games in his debut BKT EuroCup campaign.
Wright hit the ground running in his first EuroCup season, scoring at least 13 points in his first four games and netting as many as 21 points in Round 4. Then, in Round 8, the American guard set a new personal high with 22 points before netting a season-high 23 points in Round 11.
Buducnost just missed out on the EuroCup Playoffs after posting an 8-10 record and finishing seventh in Group B. Domestically, the team won the Montenegrin championship after beating SC Derby 3-1 in the finals.
