Umana Reyer Venice has secured the arrival of Allerik Freeman, the club announced on Thursday. Freeman (1.90 meters, 27 years old) last played for CSKA Moscow, but in the first half of the 2021-22 season he shone for Frutti Extra Bursaspor in the 7DAYS EuroCup, averaging 19.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists in nine games.

Freeman also has experience of playing in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, having represented LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne in the 2020-21 season. In 18 games in the competition, 13 of which were as a starter, he averaged 7.4 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists. After playing college basketball at Baylor University and North Carolina State University, he began his professional career with Alba Fehervar of Hungary before going on to play for Bursaspor, Shenzhen of China, ASVEL, Qingdao of China, Bursaspor again, and then CSKA.
