Turk Telekom adds center Mahir Agva
Turk Telekom Ankara has further bolstered its options ahead of the 2024-25 season by signing Mahir Agva. The German center spent last season at Galatasaray, averaging 1.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in a backup role across 30 Turkish League appearances. Agva (2.06 meters, 27 years old) last played in the BKT EuroCup in 2019-20, suiting up for Darussafaka and posting 1.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 16 games, largely coming off the bench.
Agva started his career with Tigers Tubingen in Germany, playing there between 2013 and 2016, although he spent the 2014-15 campaign on loan at Ehingen Urspring. He then moved to fellow German sides Frankfurt Skyliners (2016-17) and Giessen 46ers (2017-19) before heading to Turkiye, where he has played for Darussafaka (2019-20), Pınar Karsiyaka (2020-22), and Galatasaray (2022-23).
