Turk Telekom adds small forward Anthony Brown
One day after bringing back head coach Erdem Can, Turk Telekom Ankara has confirmed the signing of small forward Anthony Brown, the club announced Wednesday. Brown (1.99 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Bursaspor, where he averaged 16.6 points on 40.5% three-point shooting, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 30 Turkish League games last season.
He started his professional basketball career with the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, and also played for Los Angeles, Erie Bay, Iowa and Lakeland Magic of the G League. His NBA journey also saw him suit up for the New Orleans Pelicans, Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves, before he began his European adventure.
On the old continent, Brown has suited up for Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade in Serbia, Limoges CSP and Boulogne Metropolitans in France, Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion in Israel and UNICS Kazan in Russia.
He brings in plenty of BKT EuroCup experience, as Brown averaged 10.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in 32 games with Partizan, Limoges, Metropolitans and Bursaspor. He also helped UNICS win the VTB League title in 2023 and was previously a member of the USA U19 national team.
