Valencia signs guard Brancou Badio
Valencia Basket strengthened its roster by inking guard Brancou Badio to a three-year deal, the club announced Saturday.
Badio (1.91 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Basquet Manresa, where he played for recently signed head coach Pedro Martinez in each of the last two seasons. He averaged 13.8 points and 2.4 assists in 26 Spanish League games last season, helping Manresa reach the playoffs. Badio started his career with Canarias Basketball Academy and also played for FC Barcelona also of Spain and Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt of Germany before joining Manresa in 2022. He helped Barca win the Spanish League title in 2021, but spent the majority of the 2020-21 season with the team's third division squad. Badio has also been a member of the Senegalese national team, helping it get a bronze medal at AfroBasket 2022. He is set to make his BKT EuroCup debut with Valencia next season.
